Lol, you're complaining about wireless charging. I found Motorola's to be the most robust phones out there. I've owed iPhone 3 and 5 Androids. It takes me a year to go through a phone. I'm constantly taking pictures for work and videos. My Motorolal lasted me 3 years in heavy use. Also, iPhones are boring and they're very limited. Android is a platform with a bunch of brands to choose from. I can open my camera, I can turn on my flashlight And write down a sentence in my notepad in under 10 seconds. Android gives you so much freedom to do things. Moto for life 👍👌👏

Do you know if the StylusG 5G 2023 comes with the MDM app already downloaded? My new one has this app. I'm told it comes with this new style of phone. I found nothing stating this.

I just bought one unlocked for $299 and it’s a terrific phone. Most people charge their phone overnight so the ten watt charger is fine since the battery will last all day. Wireless charging isn’t necessary because most of them charge only at five to ten watts. Screen wise most people will have a hard time discerning between AMOLED, OLED and IPS display. The phone is fast with the new processor and videos and music plays without a hitch. The camera is actually good, nice and crisp. The stylus works well just like my GN20U and Galaxy Fold 4. It has a 3.5mm earphone jack which is a plus and a Radio app!

Once u go OLED u can easily discern the difference. What are you talking about? I even introduced my grandmother to OLED by asking her to compare it to other display types and she kept picking the OLED devices.

Exactly 💯 the first version of the 2023 stylus had a horrible chip but they made it with the snapdragon 6 gen 1 chipset which I have and NFC! This phone is great for gaming, and was free for me at metro and unlocks in 4 montha

Not really any show stoppers here for me (summary below): 1 - no wireless charging 2 - included charger is 10W but phone supports 20W 3 - display (LCD IPS) is really good, but could be better (OLED) 4 - lack of software updates (will go to Android 14 only) 5 - no HDMI out via USB-C port (can't connect direct to TV) 6 - no tele-photo camera (has digital zoom that works pretty good tho) 7 - build materials -- feels really good but is made of plastic

Wireless charging is more like gimmick. I have 15 watts wireless charger and it's kind of slow and energy wasting BTW, Edge 2022 is $250 at the time I posted Display is exactly same as G Power 5G 10 watts may be good for overnight charging

Simple rule "you gotta lose something to gain something". Phone companies make tons of money from bloatwares. And tons I mean actually tons. Since Motorola is providing you with a clean OS experience also without any extra 10GB sized UI and is very lightweight and stable software. They have to do cost cutting on some stuffs. Motorola is for the people who are looking for stable, clean and smooth software Experience than people who want better camera, gaming or other misc

Except for the charger, everything else is nit picking a great feature loaded $300 great phone vs $500 phones. Plus they don't have 256GB storage. AMOLED sucks in sunlight.

Not for nothing but the Tesla comparison doesn't work. Lets see, buy a mobile hazardous waste dump that when created caused massive hazardous waste and cannot be repaired and reused for generations at multiple income levels and will end in hazardous waste the world has no idea how to recycle and won't for at least a few generations... or buy something which creates something that plants breath in (carbon dioxide) and plants then replenish with oxygen, can be used and repaired for multiple generations at multiple economic levels and then be fully and completely recycled. Motorola... hey it's a phone dude and I don't need a pro-level camera, something simple gets me by. Yah, there's a huge and growing market from that. Samsung is starting to tank because they're dropping features that people still want. While the moto is slowly growing because they're keeping things people still want.

I didn't get past reason 2. I think the first two reasons are utterly silly. As if plugging in a cord is such a hassle. And why would you validate or promote throwing away a useful charger just because "it's not good/fast enough"? Such a wasteful mentality. Just give it away...

I like Motorola phones because of the the good battery life!! I used to have Samsung Galaxy 5 and the battery life was poor... That's why I moved to Moto G 7 power, 3 years with this phone and still working perfectly!! And still holding very good battery life!!!

Go-to metro and get this for free! If you like the power g7 than this will be 10 times faster brighter and louder! The snapdragon 6 gen 1 chipset is better than the iphone 11 and 12 chips plus 8gigs of ram leaves no room for lagging

I have the 2021 version which is great but I enjoy the 2023 more because of the smaller screen size. A lot easier for 1 handed use. I will say that the big battery does seem to last longer on the 2021 version. I could personally care less about all the flaws in this video because I know that this will be a problem free phone for a while.

Good video. Other positive features include 120hz display and external storage up to 2TB. Also the speaker volume pretty loud which is a must for me. And headphone jack. But why bother w eco packaging when you then include a throwaway charger instead of 20 watt to match capacity? And as you also pointed out, the software support hurts lifespan of phone too. At least it gets 3 yrs security updates but even that is lacking. The plastic build doesn't bother me, esp when it's done right.

I don't toss old chargers like that. Often I repurpose them for a bunch of things, but I agree it is lacking a more sufficient charger. When it comes to updates, it's not a flagship phone, all the other companies follow similar suit on this. One thing you may have missed on this phone so I will note it. On the 2022 model you could buy a model with 8GB Ram / 256GB storage. The best you can get on the 2023 model is 6GB of Ram. A significant downgrade from the previous year's model. Should at least be able to get just as much if not more. Also, the 2022 model shipped with a 256GB SD card, don't know if this one includes one at all. They are cheap enough but still. I agree with the OLED screen, the Nintendo Switch OLED model ships with a OLED screen at a $350 price point. It'd be a nice inclusion, but many of the things things mentioned would bump up the price. Would like to see a Premium or Pro model of this with extra features for those will to pay a little more for extra.

This phone sucks. I have to put up with it. Everytime I navigate to a different app and come back to the previous app, that app restarted and I lost everything I was looking at or working on. For instance, Facebook restarted and I lost all of the news feed I was in the middle of looking at .

As of now the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is 150 bucks more than the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G. $399.99 vs $249.99. So getting the Motorola was an easy choice.

True, all these reasons to avoid is something you'd expect a flagship would have (except the charger, some brand don't even give you one for " a better environment" reason only for them to sell it separately). At under $250 the Moto G Stylus is a high-end budget phone, add $50 more then you're entering low-end mid range with Moto G84. Even proper mid range like Galaxy A54 at under $400 don't have wireless charging so don't complain about wireless charging at $250 phone brand new.

Motorola has an entire team of people in the development process and this is what they came up with. This will be the last Motorola phone that I buy if it does not receive the Android 14 update, this is bullcrap Motorola used to be known for good quality stuff, not anymore.... I purchased my Motorola g. Stylus 5G 2023 version for the very reason of it getting a few updates. I've only had this phone for a couple months. Again this is bullcroft bad business for Motorola, I would think twice before I purchased a Motorola phone....

This device is so close. Honestly I'd have gladly paid $100 more and lost 128GB storage for a little better processor, HDMI out via USB-C adapter, and Motorola Ready For (Desktop Mode). One of my favorite phones ever has been the Edge S/G100, and I'm so sad they haven't released a spiritual successor to it. Comparing this to my Edge S, the screen is brighter, it has a stylus, and better stand by time. By honestly I still like my Edge S better. Debating on whether to return this or try to resell it. I basically got this for $150 and it's great at that price, but one thing I've noticed is that Google Assistant is just slow as heck for me. Maybe it's because I got the 4/128 model but still, it's just not good.

Thank you for creating this video. This phone being stuck at Android 14 is disappointing but as long as I am able to use the smartphone comfortably with no stuttering, battery or performance issues, I'm content with this. My Moto X4 and Moto E both had problems months after using.

Does this phone come with the app MDM already loaded into the phone? I just bought one new. It has a message on the bottom and when I try to do things... This device belongs to your organization! I was told it comes with the phone already downloaded. I found nothing on the internet stating this. I think it's a refurbished phone sold as new. Does the StylusG 5G 2023 new phone come with the app MDM already downloaded into it?

The company stated... Too many people are buying the cheaper phones and going to another server. They put the MDM on this phone only for the first 90 days to keep this from happening. A regular lock can be bypassed but an MDM can not.

I bought one of these and took it back in 2 days because it has too many bugs and the touch screen problems are the same as the 2021, namely it doesn't respond to things that you want to do, but constantly does things that you don't want to do whenever you lightly brush against the screen accidentally.

I have yet to find a fast wireless charger. I got a 20w charger on Temu for $3. I cast to my Google TV no need for HDMI out. I use the camera for selling stuff online. and I paid $150 not $399.

Had it, returned it. The screen on this moto is dull and no where near as nice to view vs a Samsung Galaxy A15 or A25 which are Amoled and much brighter to see in sun. Samsung A15 will get 4 years of upgrades vs the moto at 2 years. I've had moto's but have moved on to Samsung and Nord.

Of course AMOLED or OLED is better to see in the sun, you should of consider the edge 2022 or a refubuished X30 then. if u want OLED. For most people, in doors. IPS is good enough i actually use a 360hz ips monitor. and have a Pixel 5 with OLED. OLED is better in the sunlight and darkness(no glow). But Ips colors are really accurate when u have lights on indoors. its just not as bright as OLED, and has glow.

for me the no palm detection and lack of e-sim was a deal breaker. I then tried the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Good pen, but, hard to use phone, and no e-sim (Korean model). I gave up in mobile styluses, ended up with a solid iPhone SE 2020 I don't give a flying fuck it has a battery warning, it's been solid and reliable and has e-sim and all that I ever need@@gloppy101

I have both this phone and the Motorola edge 2022. Performance is comparable(584497 antutu). The screen is not as good as the edge but the overall experience is very similar. plus it has a radio an SD card a stylus and a headphone jack. I have the 128 gig version of the stylus. I got it for free Metro PCS. You can't beat it

@@alextab25 all moto screens are low end IPS which are dull and have poor viewing angles. No comparison to a Amoled screen which have bright colors and easier to see in sunlight.

Can you test ps2 emulation with both devices, Games: God of war 2, and final fantasy x, at 2x vulkan mode. To see which one emulates better?

@@georgepierre3594 I don't have emulators on either device. But I can tell you overall gaming performance is similar on both. But the Moto edge is definitely the better gaming phone with more RAM, better chip for gaming slightly better screen and sound. And is a lighter device. Which does make a difference in hand.

Yo, I very much disagree with the display. i have the 2021 model and i have an iphone, and I switched back to using my motto g 2021 because the vibrancy of the display. the ips lcd also hands viewing angles better in the sense the color temperature doesn't shift so much i think people read OLED and think its automatically going to give you a better viewing experience, and I have a flagship and a budget moto stylus and objectively the moto stylus gives the user a way better viewing experience that isn't washed out looking

huh? The ISP screens on this Moto is dull and has poor colors. No comparison to a AMOLED screen.

@@gloppy101 I think IPS has better viewing angles, but is to dim to see in sunlight. Indoors its okay, outdoor its worse.

If you're so weak and lazy that you can't make do with grabbing a charging cord and plugging it into your phone then you don't need a phone at all. You need a quadriplegic wheelchair instead.

For 149.99 it is a awesome phone all Motorola phone s are great ,where I live you do good to keep a phone 3 months for the thieves plus I had Samsung and iPhones hated both my fav is Motorola Orr LG

I have a Moto G Stylus 5G 2023. Ive only owned it for a few days so it's new to me but Im having problems getting my moto note to pop up when I take my stylus out. I turn it on in settings but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know what the issue is and how can I fix it? Also I cant swype with my stylus and its very frustrating. I got a pop up that showed me how to write with it and after seeing that, it did let me swype for a short time but then it quit working. Someone please help

Update.... I figured out it was the case I have it in. I got a plastic case for it and put my phone in it before using my stylus. Last night I found a forum with a few others who were having the same problem and it was figured out that the culprit was the case. I gave it a try and took it out. Sure enough the stylus started working right away and the moto note popped up when I took it out of the phone. Strangely, I put my phone back in the case to see if it would continue to work and so far it is. The electronics in the phone just needed to detect the stylus. So.... if anyone else comes across my comment with the same problem, try taking the phone out of the case. I wouldn't be quick to get rid of the case however as the stylus continues to work after putting the phone back in.
