This is a video on how to “re-case” or re house Motorola xts2500 portable radios. This video is also valid for use with the Motorola xts1500, pr1500, and mt1500 series portable radios.
I made this video in hopes of helping other people out who want to re-case their radios or change out parts we needed. Hopefully this how to video helps!!

Do you have a video showing the removal of the accessory port ribbon and replacement?

This may be a little late but I just did it. Just gently pry with either the jeweler screwdriver or I used a small driver and a letter opener. (All I had). The glue is stronger than the pin connection. Helps if you maybe heat it a little too to melt the adhesive.

Any videos for Motorola XTS3000? On the parts unit, you can change the controller board.

hey, this video is old so i dont expect a reply, but when taking apart my radio the retaining clip for the mic/speaker broke! what would you do if that happened? the plastic on the side broke, i was super gentle with it..

Hey man, Im an officer and my department issued me a Motorola XTS 2500. Every time I hook up an accessory mic to it I get this low volume through the mic. Its so low you cant hear traffic through it. You can still key up as well with the accessory mic no problems. Once you unplug the accessory mic the volume works fine through the radio speaker. I tried another accessory mic and had still had the same outcome. So I know its not the accessory mics its the radio accessory connectors(the last part of the video you showed) that seems to be the problem. Maybe you can help me out... im not sure if this radio is fixable. Thanks.
