I bought the 2015 Edge SEL AWD 2.0L EcoBoost in May and it is by far the best car on the market for its class. This car is a completely amazing vehicle in all aspects, and works well in the city commute and the great outdoors. Coming from a history of cars including Mercedes, Chevy, Ford, Saturn and Pontiac, I was sold on Toyota until I discovered Honda, and have been convinced they are the best cars for years. I find reliability and fuel economy are equally important as comfort and style. After I discovered the Ford Edge, I haven't looked back. It has changed my entire outlook on life and made it much more adventurous. The AWD model is a must and I feel like I can go anywhere. I like this car better than any vehicle I've ever owned or driven!
+Pedro Pedroso - Well, consider that Hyundai has been stealing designs since they started, besides, it's more Ford Taurus which has been out since 2010 and the rear is more Escape so your statement is false. The Ford looks better than the Santa Fe, it's built better and let's face it, Hyundai dreams of Ford sales figures, no need to be so mad.
For the tail lights of the 2015 Ford Edge, some have red turn signals, like the SEL trim, and others have amber turn signals, like the Edge Sport. In the NY Auto Show, the tail lights flashes amber, when opening the power rear liftgate on the Sport trim.
+Tim Joseph The amber lights are for markets outside the USA since all of Ford's cars are going global. But markets such as western europe demand higher quality cars since brands like BMW and Jaguar are much cheaper for us over here (relative to local buying power, not exchange rate). So the lower quality trim levels (SE and SEL with red turn signals) will remain in the USA, no point in putting more expensive amber lights on them since they're only sold in a country that doesn't require them.
+benanderson89 But all other Ford vehicles do signal amber, regardless of trim level. Even the 2014+ Chevrolet Corvette has LED rear amber turn signals as standard. I just hate red turn signals, even if it's meant for cost-cutting.
Tim Joseph They are all global vehicles. You can buy the Corvette in Europe. The Fiesta, Focus, Kuga (Escape) etc. are all European cars. The Mondeo (Fusion) was developed jointly with Europe. Basically, if a car is sold only in the Americas, it'll have red turn signals. If its a global car or uses a global platform, it'll have Amber signals.
There is so much redundancy in the Ford Lincoln line up WHY? this Edge is not any different than the Escape, MKX or the Explorer really. Stick to the F150 and reduce the line up
The Escape is based on the Focus platform. The Edge is based on the Fusion platform and the Explorer is based on the Taurus platform and same with Lincoln so yeah they’re all different.
hnnotyy What kind of foolishness R u talkin about The new EDGE is light years better than most of its shitty competition The Escape is based on Fords C platform thats for small cars Thats why it lacks rear space The EDGE is based on CD4 thats spawns Mondeo/Fusion Ford dosent simply stretch wheelbase of a vehicle like some shitty brand does to improve cabin space It always gives importance to dynamics,structural stability,stiffness etc thats why 2 platforms spawning 2 SUVs Escape for some who arent in fully need of huge back seat and EDGE 4 those who need back seats Also the EDGE sport is a blast, I even challenge premium brnds like BMW,Audi,Merc etc to put up a rival to EDGE sport, ya they ll put some but it ll cost somewhat like 60000 USD, EDGE gives the SPOrt for just 48000 IF trust any mpg figures, u r a fool.

hmnoty So what the EDGE is the best 4 seater suv , the only good SUV that has a chance against EDGE is the Nissan Murano, Nothing can come clise to new EDGE, its too good Shows in sales numbers as welll.
