I love, the body design of the Duster, for me; it is more gorgeous than the Challenger and Cuda….. I said. Thank you for share this photos. I enjoy it!!!
Saw this car at Minnesota Dragways in Anoka, probably early 70s. Me and my best friend would hitchhike from our homes in Brooklyn Center on Sundays during the drag racing season. Must've been all of 15 years old. Thanks for posting this and bringing back great memories.
T.J. Paul: THANK YOU! it's so awesome to finally see a proper tribute to Don Carlton, one of the hardest working and greatest drivers of his era. He was taken from us way too soon. My opinion is that in the mid 70's when the Vega's, Pinto's and Mustang II's were taking over pro stock racing, Chrysler was at a disadvantage. The NHRA banned the Colt's because they were built in Japan. That left the Dusters /Demons which put Don and the other Mopar drivers behind the 8 ball Don took the Colt, altered the wheelbase and was successful in Comp eliminatior class until his untimely passing. Thanks again for the memories.
