The fact that a father would put out a hit on his own disabled son, and the mother of his son shows the coldness and callousness of his heart. And, for a person to accept and receive money to kill an innocent child, shows the callousness of the hit man’s heart. I am also baffled by the fact that someone actually wrote AND published a book on how to to commit MURDER and get away with it! I’m glad the family sued them!

Remember Ray Caruth and what he did. When some menfolk feel cornered by having to pay for relationships that are no longer viable to them.. they know no bounds. It becomes non viable when u are no longer fuggin them, being controlled by them and reaching into their pockets. The sons disability unfortunately made him non existen in his fathers eye. In the past you can run away from financial obligation of a child nowadays with court ordered mandated child support payments coming directly out of your paycheck and or adding up when you miss payments or don't payments you'll become a criminal... If divorce was not allowed these would have happened... If child support payments were not mandatory these were not happen... If this were a religious and or non-alcoholic country we would not have these problems that affect every color in this country and only this country

They had a different type of mindset back then…back when they started the protect and serve. I happen to stumble upon this video and it held my attention all the way until the end. The FBI did the victims justice because they didn’t let up, they kept going with this case. The reenactment at the end was very chilling. They almost had the FBI stumble but there karma was coming and it was a matter of time, and time won. Excellent video. 🌹

Not at all seemingly risk free. To me being in someone's house puts you more at risk than anything. You don't know the dynamics of the people you're working for. There's no police or security officers you can call. It's just you. Non the less, it's a shame they killed her. She was there helping a family-- a child and then this. Also, who would be so heartless to disconnect a child from his only means of breathing support? They made him suffer for only GOD knows how long.

The father is responsible for his family, even though modern laws and culture are doing everything possible to hamstring straight male authority. Hence, some fathers will invariably abuse or otherwise fail in that responsibility. It's the same reason why it's usually mothers who murder their small children (including abortion). Mothers are responsible for nurturing their small children, and despite that, some of them will invariably abuse or otherwise fail in that responsibility.

I am light-skinned, my mother, father, brothers are all dark-skinned and I can tell you there is a incredible difference in how my family is treated verses me. It is awful. I watched this year's ago and still get the chills everytime I watch it. I love how the FBI investigated this case carefully. horn was hateful towards his ex-wife. the nurse was there doing her job. it's amazing how horn got someone to carry out those awful killings

Great job, FBI. All because he was 18k behind, in child support. If he'd been a real man he could have paid that off, in a year, or two. And it was for his child. It's something how ppl can kill like that, and think it's over with, a done deal. But when the killer dies, and closes their eyes, the faces of those they killed, are the first they see. Because they played God, ending their life, and is responsible for their souls. I don't know what happens next, but I believe it's something like that, and those souls are seeking justice. So think twice before you pull a trigger, that life do not belong, to you.

He was given 125,000.00 out of the settlement. Mrs. Horn was given $355.000.00. The other monies went toward the child's medical care. Also, when son Trevor turned 18, he would inherit 1 million. The stipulation in the deposition said that in the event of the death of Mrs. Horn and son Trevor, Lawrence Horn would INHERIT 1.7 million dollars. The oldest child was in college (Howard University) . Trevor's twin, Tamielle was at her aunt's. He wanted the wife and Trevor dead (per the will). Very evil person.

Working as a home health nurse, this was one of the scariest cases I ever heard. I have worked with many children that were disabled during the night. When I saw this case years and years ago I always thought about what if the other parent came in and did the same thing. Thank God it never happened but my heart goes out to this family, those monsters are where they should be.

Advice to everyone: Don't work as a nurse in any one's house! No matter how attractive the pay might be; human beings are wicked. There a lot of things going on in people's houses/lives that no one knows about. If you want to care for someone, do it at place not their homes. These days, even hospitals are not safe!

This story is especially triggering for me. I used to be an overnight nurse for a little boy. I left after the mom and boyfriend were doing illegal things and constantly asking me for money. I reported it to the agency. You think you’re going to be safe in a patient’s home…sad.

I was the sick kid and I had in home health nurse aids for years (rare, incurable genetic disorder.) It breaks my heart that he was supposed to feel safe and protected in his home because the hospital takes that sense of familiarity and comfort away from you. I remember I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 months straight and never felt the sun on my skin once during that time. A couple of times they released me for holidays or birthdays but that was rare. I loved being at home. I just feel so absolutely terrible that he made it home and someone unplugged his respirator and suffocated him when he’s supposed to be enjoying a semblance of freedom.

I’ve had water on the lungs and have been in a few comas. I’ve woken up to nurses working on me, alarms and lights blaring, because I coded in my sleep. I know what it feels like when you can’t breathe yet you’re desperately gasping for air. So heartbreaking and triggering.

Fascinating forensic investigation! I loved the way they tailed/tracked these two evil men. Lawrence Horn’s “alibi tape” was laughable. It had the opposite effect than what was intended. What a dummy.

People don’t realize just how difficult being a detective is … It takes a lot of work dealing with uncooperative people. A lot of time nobody wants to be involved unless it’s their love one. It’s not what you know it’s what you can prove.

Horn was broker than broke, behind on his child support and wanted his son’s trust fund that was awarded to him for his disability caused by the ob/gyn and maternity staff. Lawrence Horn was given 125,000.00 from the hospital settlement; Mildred Horn got 355,000.00. The other money went toward the boy's medical care. At age eighteen, the boy would inherit 1 million dollars. The settlement stipulated that in the event of Mrs. Horn's or Trevor's death, Lawrence Horn would inherit 1.7 million dollars.

I am sure the stipulation in the deposition was the hope he'd never get ANYTHING else ( her and her son's death). She certainly didn't foresee his plans to kill! I wish Ms. Horn had cut ties with him. He was behind on child support for their FIRST child! Lawrence Horn's first marriage lasted only a year! Mildred Horn should have stopped the "off and on" situation...this is very badly.

He would talk down to her and tried to gaslight her by belittling the things that she did and her job even though he was jobless. However, close sources said that she stood ten toes down with him too. When he talked crazy about her and to her, Millie got right back at him. He was just a demon.

This is so sad and this was the work of the devil and my heart goes out to that little boy his mom and his nurse and I'm so happy that they got caught and if you can kill your innocent son who was barely breathing and his mom and nurse you will kill anybody and he did this evil crime because he didn't want to pay child support and he was broke, these mens was the devil without horns and they didn't have a heart at all I'm laying here in my bed feeling so sad and may they all R.I.H..

The detective at the end was correct. They did a good job planning this. The author apparently even said to use a fake name when checking into the hotel but I guess he thought he could eliminate that issue by paying with cash. Luckily, he was wrong. Even with the phone calls, hand drawn maps, etc, they still wouldn't have know who the ex hired. Scary to think that if he'd not made that one change, they might never been caught.

One small mistake was the difference between going free and getting caught. Makes you realize how easy it is to get away with something like this though. Only 50% of homicides are resolved even today with advanced forensic techniques.

We are in 2022 and I cannot believe all the crime that I can see today! Hope that the justice will do the right thing! God bless these detectives and agents who pieced this together and caught these cold blooded killers. I know the families were probably in unimaginable turmoil waiting for justice those years but the process paid off. When that agent said what a good job they did covering their tracks, and how close they were to getting away with it?? Man. This could easily have never been solved. Or at least not enough evidence to build a case.

This is the only time a publishing company got sued for the continent of books that they sold. The only time in history a publishing company has been sued. There was a book and it was called “Hitman” The book is no longer for sale. Actually there was a man’s name as the author of this book. But in actuality a woman wrote it. It’s a handbook to get away with murder. LT got someone else to do this for him. But he still ended up getting caught hitman or no hitman. God bless Millie Horn and Trevor Horn and Janice Saunders.

Meaning the first time they were ever held liable which is the information that she was trying to let everyone know.
