I took your advice and went with Motoz RallZ for my baja LA to Cabo trip. Amazing off road, amazing on road as well… surprisingly stable leaning in curves…. Once they wear out a bit (scary in rain grooves)..But after my 3k trip J saw some cracking on the base of the middle blocks..
@manybikes
@manybikes Год назад
Thanks for your feedback. I’m happy the tires worked for you. The cracks are caused by pressure fluctuations and temperature. They are superficial and don’t impact performance.

I’m running my second set of RallZ’s on my 2022 T7….but I switched to the DualVenture for the front. (Got 5000 miles out of the last set, front was pretty toast but the rear still had another 1000mi) I’m up here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and running them in snow and ice right now. No studs and these things work amazing. The grip I get even in our garbage weather(6-8” of snow this week)is insane!! I’m a MotoZ guy for life after running these this past week.

Looks like a fun event there Kyle. Thanks once again for your expertise on tires. My 2022 KLR is ready for some new shoes and I've been trying to decide what to try next. My AX41's are pretty worn after 2,100 miles. No biting edges in the center and not any longer good in the dirt although road is still good. Been looking at the TCK70 Rocks or Trailmax Missions but I will also look now at the Motoz line..Thanks again.

Love the TKC70 Rocks in the rear and the TrailMax Mission for the front. Or… the Motoz GPS. Check this out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G2V72QjfuqM.html

@@manybikes I just saw your new Vid. Reminded me of my kids who all love dirt biking and now have kids of their own who race moto cross. Keeping it in the fam. I'm not sure about the Trailmax missions for the front but maybe I'm wrong. I do like the newer Motoz Adv tire for a front but Motoz is hard to get right now. Maybe either the TKC 70 Rocks or the Tractionator. I appreciate your suggestions. Thanks

I had to open another browser and start a different vid to be sure, but the video quality here is so bad on the highest setting (720p) that its's difficult to even make out the shapes of the knobs on the tires, and the video keeps glitching. Thankfully the audio is still there. Great to hear that Motoz is working on new front tires.

I recently installed a Tractionator GPS on my AT ES DCT. First time DIY tire installation. WOW what a strong sidewall! After a few hundered miles at speeds up to 80 mph, I decided to test my new air pump to see how long it would take to inflate to normal pressure after going down to about 25 psi. I placed my Motion Pro tire gauge to check and deflate and found out that my pressure was only 20 psi! I was going highway speeds with only 20#. Bittersweet. I had a leak but at least I knew that 20# was totally doable. I purchased two rear tires and one front tire from Chaparal. Where's my sticker!

@@manybikes You're welcome. I recently watched a video of your's on the Street version of the Rabaconda. I saw that you were using it on an adventure tire. I had just purchased the Mousse/Dirt version since I also have a few trail bikes. It was usefull getting the tire off but useless getting the new one on. I bent one of the Rabaconda tire irons trying and almost damaged the bead. I almost gave up but then remembered seeing the Tywrap trick. It worked like butter! Serioulsly though...do you know where I can get a Motoz sticker? I'll buy it.

Hey Kyle . Thanks for another very informative video. I have a KTM 890 Rally . So , decent size bike but narrow tube type wheels . What do you suggest for the front ? Dual Venture tubed or tubeless? I know you said the tubed type is more for smaller lighter dual sport bikes but my Rally has narrow wheels. Thx !
@manybikes
@manybikes Год назад
Thanks for watching! 890 Rally I suggest the 90/90-21 Tubeless and 150/70-18. I’ve got the same size wheels on my 950r. I’ve run the narrower tube type front and the 140 rear. Not as good of a set Tubeless 90/90-21 and 150/70-18

Hello Kyle, have you done any informational videos about converting a tubeless rim into tubed? I have a 2019 BMW GSA. If you’ve not, can you refer me to any other videos or forums? I’ve been running the Motoz tires on my adventure bikes since 2016. You’re 100% correct about their applications & durability.
@manybikes
@manybikes Год назад
My “tubeless” KTM 1190 wheels are now both running tubes. You’ve got to remove the TPMS valve stem and put in a tube. It’s that simple.
@jamesskinner7744
@jamesskinner7744 Год назад
@@manybikes What is the rationale for switching to tubes? I am thinking of converting my tubed KTM 690 Enduro R to tubeless so I can fix simple flats with a plug and avoid need to get the tire off the rim to fix or replace a tube. Last time I had a simple flat (roofing nail - rear tire - Mitas E-07 Dakar), I was unable to get the tire off the rim to replace the tube, ended up having to get a wrecker to pick up me and the bike. A plug would have gotten me home if the tire would have been tubeless. For my planned CDT trip for next year, planning to run tubeless, but carry tubes and spoons for 'Plan B' if the tire plug kit fails. Any experience or advice you might have to share on this topic woujld be greatly appreciated.
@Angry-Lynx
@Angry-Lynx Год назад
@@jamesskinner7744 you can always pit tube into tubeless tires but not the other way around. So tubless even if have some cons is objectively way superior solution. I guess some peope are stubborn and like to make their life harder and decide to use tubes 😂👍

What a stand up guy. Kyle has responded to every question in the comments. I run the Rallz front and rear on my 500 exc-f. Work great for 20/80 riding. A little twitchy at 70mph on pavement but it’s a lightweight bike. This bike will soon be 10/90 riding as my new girl will be here soon. I have a Norden 901 Expedition coming next month. It will be my all around bike. Street, Forest Roads and BDR riding. True 50/50 but I don’t want to sacrifice performance or safety in either situation. I was originally thinking the Adventure rear but sounds like you’re preferring the Rallz even for a decent amount of road miles. Is that correct? Most likely the DV front. Thanks
@manybikes
@manybikes Год назад
Dude! The Norden 901 is a SWEET machine! The RallZ front is twitchy on all bikes I have run it on... The Dual Venture is much better. You are correct in the fact that I prefer the Rallz over the Adv in most situations. It does get 2k fewer miles on average than the Adv... but the performance everywhere is worth it in my opinion. When going from the Adv to the RallZ I was "skeptical" of the % "better" it was... but when I went back to the Adv I "felt it immediately!" And... very quickly switched it out for the RallZ. I would recommend the RallZ in the rear and the DV up front. Congrats again!!!
@ryanadventureeverything8758
@@manybikes one more question. The 901 will be tubeless. As far as my 500 exc-f goes. What’s your thought on the Nuetech Tubliss on the Motoz Tubed tires for the 500? Thanks

I'm thinking A) Motoz GPS (rear), Motoz ADV (front) OR B) TrailMax Mission. I want good grip on wet, cold pavement at 80mph, good hard-packed and gravel roads offroad grip, and very high mileage. Which do you recommend for a Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE that I ride 70/30 onroad? A setup or B?
@manybikes
@manybikes Год назад
Both would serve you well. I typically lean more towards the Motoz as I like the "more rubber on the ground" with bigger knobs for grabbing the dirt. Both the GPS and the Mission will get you LOTS OF MILES... The GPS is more "dirt oriented" than the Mission. Having punished both sets... I'd go A then B.
@andykus2219
@andykus2219 Год назад
I bot a new adventure front and fighting with myself what to buy rear. I ride my T7 mainly bad b roads and forest lanes my area is mudy and sandy. I ride 50 off and 50 b roads. 75miles fastest. Should i get rallz or adventure rear??? Should i get
@manybikes
@manybikes Год назад
I steer most people in the direction of the RallZ. It lasts 4k miles, it is better off road and holds its own on-road. The Adv will give you a little more mileage (about 2k) and is a little smoother on the street... but I think the RallZ is a better performing tire all the way around. My 2 cents.
@tecdive8045
@tecdive8045 Год назад
The only tire you didn't show or comment on was the GPS front. The thing that appeals to me about the GPS front is it seems to cup less than a knobby on adventure bikes. What do you think?
@manybikes
@manybikes Год назад
Was it on the table and I missed it? Most GPS owners are running a slightly more aggressive front tire. The GPS front is great for street and hard pack dirt. Any dirtier than that I like a Motoz Adventure or Dual Venture front paired with the GPS.
