Fantastic tyre, on my second set and am extremely happy with them. Got great mileage out of them on the last set.

I am running a GPS front on my 1250 GS. Wet or dry, sealed or unsealed it hangs on and in over 6000 kms it has not given me one 'moment'. It is somewhat noisy (with earplugs) and a bit of vibration though both issues are not a deal breaker. Wear is great and should get 10-12,000+ kms. I ran a GPS rear on my 1200 GS for a while and this tyre too did nothing wrong and for traction on sealed roads could out pace road bikes in the twisties. The rear tyre up to about 70 km/h felt lumpy when vertical but above 70 the noise & lumpy feel went away. The solid longitudinal tread band in the rear tyre compromises traction on hard packed unsealed roads and the rear spins up easy. Works good on sealed roads. Traction control light flashes big time powering out of corners on the edge of the tyre but no dramas at all and is not really even felt. Both the front & rear tyres promote confidence (within the limits of their 50/50 design). No real sand or mud use yet and likely to stay that way as i don't think on GS these tyres will be very good. I do not understand why people comment that the solid center band on rear tyres like the K60 and GPS is an issue on wet sealed roads. There are plenty of 'road' tyres with none or virtually no center tread and they are OK in the wet. I have used such tyres on bikes in the wet with no issue. IMO it is more about tread compound for wet grip and most likely the Heidenau compound is harder and/or just less grip in the wet. Hard at least as the K60 supposedly lasts a long time. The solid center line is an issue on unsealed surfaces, not sealed imo. Nice review though Barry and the TKC/Tractionator combo sounds like it would be good for a long trip with lots of sealed & unsealed

Comment on noise was crucial info. Thanks Barry. If you are doing a bit more of the bulldust maybe consider the adventure version on the front. It will give you more stability in the soft stuff but it will still be remarkably good on the tarmac.

They are much better than the Heidies when it comes to noise. Still noisy compared to road tyres, but much quieter than the Scouts.

Barry, I contacted you two weeks ago about the The GPS since then I have done 5000km on the GPS and so far I love it, I have done a lot of bitumen including twisties as well as some dirt and I highly recommend the GPS. Thanks for the review I will be fitting another set I think I will get at least 10k out of the rear as for the front it still looks new.

I tried some Heidenau tires on my DR650 and scared the %rap out of myself.........Ive never had both tires break loose on pavement and try to kill me..........I leaned her over like always and wooooooooooo both tires slid out from under me....................I took em off and put em in the basement...........life is too short.

I’m running the motoz GPS on my 1290 SAR. I love the rear, couldn’t ask for a better all around 50/50 tire. Now for the front it’s more like 75% road 25% dirt. If all you do is pavement with a little gravel and hard dry dirt it will do just fine but if you do anything more adventurous than that choose a different front tire. Riding any where that has ruts is dangerous with the front. It follows even the smallest ruts so be prepared. All in all the GPS are good tires you just need to learn the front issues and ride accordingly

Maybe a good combo might be a Tractionator on the front and a GPS on the rear? I must admit I haven't had any issues with my front tyre, but I'm a fairly steady rider off road. I've wondered maybe a TKC 80 front could work well with a GPS rear? As the TKC 80 is the tyre of choice for most BMW riders. I just can't live with the 2000-3000k wear life on the rear tyre :)

@@BarryK1200LT spot on. I've got tractionator on the rear and karoo3 on the front at the moment. Karoo seems to have a firmer sidewall and carcass strength over tkc80. The block pattern seems to be equally grippy as tkc in all conditions tested so far. I was having rim crunches on the tkc80 and the karoo is holding firmer against rocks and ruts,, if a little noisier on the tar. The tractionator is a bit sketchy pushed hard on the tar and same for wet tar, where I would rate the tkc80 (rear) a far superior tar tyre in all conditions.

@@BarryK1200LT Guys, Tractionator is a family, not a model. GPS is also a Tractionator. So which tire were you talking about, again?

@@impact0r I suggest you read the title of the video again? It says Tractionator GPS long term review. The tread pattern alone should give that clue away. Cheers

Cheers for that Barry, well done with the info. Only two questions, which way did you have the tyre flipped, toward '50/50' or Off Road? And how did it hold up off-road?

Hi Barry, I've heard this tyre can be flipped around to be more aggressive in the dirt. Is this how you ran yours? Have you found anything better for long trips since making this video?

Have you tried the rear tire in both directions? If so, did you feel any smoother rolling on the road with the 50/50 way vs the mostly off road way? Cuz I have heard there's not noticeable difference roadwise but there IS a difference when running off-road. Any comments anybody that has tried them?

Hello, I'm planning a long ride in Southamerica with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 400. I want to ask if you consider this Tyres (MotoZ) a good option. I use to ride at low speed (50 miles average)
