The moment they revealed this figure, I thought of your channel and the endless anticipation I would have to see the head swap with the classic figure. Mostly because the first figure didn't come with two grasping hands. Thank you for doing what you do.

I was definitely gonna try some parts swapping with the Original Origins Webstor once I got this figure for review! I think the colors can work between the heads or bodies, ok for the most part! The heads and armor swap work the best between the two 👍
Webstor and Whiplash were my two MOTU figures (I was all in on Star Wars) and I still have them. Loving this version and can’t wait for Whiplash! Great review!

I'm loving this cartoon collection! These are how I wanted the toys to look when I was a kid. I think I saw the cartoon before the toys, so I was partial to the Filmation designs

It's the filmation figures we never had or wish our vintage figures kind of looked like after watching the cartoon and buying the vintagel figures as kids and wondering why they don't look more like the characters in the show. I like both both Origins versions.The vintage figures are just pure toy nastalgia and the cartoon figures are bringing those characters to life now with figures. Thanks for checking out the review! I'm in the USA and these are vertical difficult to find at retail. I buy everything online or Ebay to get figures in hand early. Place like BBTS ship world wide to certain countries for a good cost sometimes.
I guess they decided to stick with the cartoon line instead of filmation. The figures look very similar but not exactly like the filmation cartoon with designs and colors. I'm not sure if it's a license or just the over decision with the looks and designs of these figures with similar Origins based asthetics. The Classics Club Grayskull figures were much more accurate and true to the filmation series.
@TheRickster. lol. I thought about streaming. I just don't have the energy lately. My nerve pain iny spine is becoming increasingly work Sitting up to long. I take a lot of time and cuts to put the reviews together. I actually don't spend more than 10 minutes at a time Sitting up at the filming area. I then lay on ice or a heating pad editing the shots together. Then I'll go back later or the next day to film more.

@TheRickster. Oh man! You still have that hernia? I had one at 19 and had it repaired with the Mesh cone. Yeah, maybe we stream one day! I keep low profile behind the camera as much as I can for health reasons. I'm here to bud! Enjoy the toys. It is what it is! I'm laying on a heating pad now answering comments! Cool figure. I prefer the grappling hook mechanism on the origins, though. But still pretty cool. Cartoon line is doing really well. The feet look amazing.
Thanks for stopping in to check out this Webstor review already bro! I think it's cool that the rope can retract in the the backpack with the turn dial. But I also prefer the vintage Origins Webstor grapple setup. It's fun to pull the lower string and watch the figure move on it. My Webstors action feature dosent work that good. It's really about the Nastalgia I guess. The cartoon is definitely doing good things with these figures 👍
Great figure!! I like the features and the Grimulkin statue, I remember that episode well, also featured Kittrina, we will probably get her in the line too. They made her in Club Grayskull already, well Super7 did.
Yeah I mentioned Kittrina being in that episode trying to get the Grimulkin statue back from the royal Palace before Webstor got there and took it from what I remember in that episode. The figure looks really good for the Cartoon line. Yeah I have that Super7 club Grayskull Kittrina in box. I can see a Cartoon Kittrina coming to this line! Thanks for watching as always 👍
Those memories finding some of these figures as kids still stay so fresh in our minds! I always remember that lady taking the only Webstor on the top pegs from Child's World after I asked her to reach for it me. Lol. I finnaly got a month or so later going back. Yeah the Prince Adam and Cringer set is definitely some of he coolest Cartoon figures yet! Thanks for stopping in as always bro 👍
I remember having both Spidor and Trapjaw at camp in NH, because i got them for my birthday. I remember imagining that Trapjaw was able to ride on the webbing, because of the loop on his head and the hook on his arm. Super review!

In Germany we had an extra Comic Magazine( 10 Issues from 1984-1986 ) and in # 2 the main Story was about Webstor commanded by Skeletor to kidnap Prince Adam to force He Man to deliver Himself...wich worked not out so well of course 😉anyway, the Figure looks great. Like all the Figures from the Cartoon Collection so far.

I know there was a bunch of Motu books and cómic stuff in Germany with there own adventures and stories as you described. I only read a few of those. It's all fun stuff! This figure and the whole cartoon collection series is really looking good so far!👍
Webstor was never one of my favorites for some reason. I didn’t dislike the character, I just was never drawn to him very much. If I had to take a guess, it might have been because he was among the first dozen or so figures my parents had gotten for me when I first got into MotU, and the grappling feature perhaps was a bit too “ordinary” for me compared to the other gimmicks at the time, like Man-E-Faces, Tri-Klops, Trap Jaw, Fisto, Ram Man, etc. When you get a bunch of figures all at once, most of which had that instant fun factor, the grappling hook was probably too slow for me and required a bit more work. And also, I don’t remember being able to have a really good setup to use it anyway, so I just sort of kept him off to the side when I played with the other figures. I guess it just comes down to personal experience with the vintage figures. That being said, I do like what they did with this version, being able to wind the line back up into the pack instead of wrapping it around manually. However, as you demonstrated, it doesn’t seem to work nearly as well. That’s too bad about the line coming loose, it’s an issue that I think always worried me with the vintage figure too, despite how careful I was with it. Great figure and review! Just for whatever reason, Webstor was one of the only characters in the MotU lore that never resonated with me, I don’t know why… 🤷🏻♂️ ~Damon

Webstor is another figure that is usually a fan favorite and very nastalgic to many of us collectors because of his spider like inspiration, colors and that grapple hook accessorie. However he also a figure that can be hit or miss for people as well. But as you mentioned that action feature didn't always work great in the vintage figure. I think the Origins vintage inspired Webstors pull hook action feature dosent work any better either. It depends on the angle and figure. This cartoon Webstor looks really good comparing to the animation and I do like that dial that helps retract all the string in the backpack. However once again it's not really a practical action feature to help Webstor move up and down on the string. It kind of just let's him hand to the adjustment as I showed with my figure. In the end it's fun to see another popular cartoon cartoon added to this line to collect for people who are fans of this character!

I heard about the teases for the She-Ra figures coming to the Cartoon line. I knew they weren't to far off from being added to the cartoon collection 👍
Yeah also I noticed that round buckle on his belt that looks a little different than the other simpler cartoon figure belt. But it's still on the simple side compared to the regular Origins belt with the All the Round buttons and buckle on them.
Webstor rocks!! Definitely getting this one too. The whole wave is a Must for me. Can't wait to see what we get next. 4 heroic warriors im guessing. Ram man, Man e faces, Fisto and Orko. Maybe??

Looks like you got the first released Webstor, you might want to swing back to big bad toy store and pick up the second re-release of the figure. There's less weird markings on the arms and legs, the articulation is tighter in the legs and ankles but most of all the backpack drawstring works a lot better

Yeah that figure I actually Preordered from the Paulmart store. I don't think he is gonna get then until later in the summer. The head totally looks like the snake tower on Eternia. I have a feeling the design was inspired from that set!
You don't have to mix and match everything if it's not fun for you :). People in the comments can chill out..lol. When did Webstor become such a popular motu villian. I always put Beastman and even Stinkor ahead of him.

I'm surprised how many people are interested in that now for customs or just to see what it would like with specific parts or arrangements. I do what I can. But I can't get to everything. Beastman and Stinkor are definitely some of the most iconic popular characters in the franchise! I think characters like Webstor, Two Bad, Clawful, and Spikor came out later in the series and had unique creature designs with cool looking colors that made them more interesting to fans and collectors who like seeing more Mutants or monster like characters added to Skeletors clan. I myself always preferred characters like that! I think Webstor fits that profile well!
@@Themanchlid You know what I think you’re right. He’s a mutant with great colors…basically has skeletors body and has a fun little gimmick u can mess with. I had both the classics and Masterverse versions hanging on my blinds at one point. If I had these other two it would’ve been a whole gang lol.
@@MrUniq The Mutants are some of the best characters in the Motu franchise. The body builder muscles and colors always make these figures fun and appealing to kids and now us adult collectors years later. Mix some creature or Mutant parts on these bodies and then you really get a cool looking figure! I had a lot of fun with those figures in the 80s like that Webstor then.👍
There was the Motu Classics Club Greyskull cartoon Line from Super7. But they never made a Webstor. I like the idea of these being mixed the Origins. But im surprised they put these in the Masterverse scale first because many people liked that Super7 Club greyskull scale and couldn't get a chance to acquire many of those because of the Cost and thecway the Preorders were set up. Like your videos ..funny thing .. MOTU has been dead here in CANADA ... We DO NOT have nearly the amount of place's to get toys here... sadly we still have SUPER OVER PRICED TOYS RIPS US OFF... and WALLY FART that discontinued the line a lonnnnng time ago...

They say the same thing about the lack of newer Motu figures there! Most people buy them from BBTS or ebay on sometimes with higher costs unfortunately.
