The Mer-Man I needed when I was 8 years old.

Oh man, I hope they release a version of those figures into the stores. Merman in particular is amazing.

The artwork is so gorgeous on the case! Really fun variants. I just couldn't really justify the cost, but it's awesome to see.

For that price point, they should've made the packaging be an actual Vinyl carrying case. Still, very impressive! Thanks for the review!

21:25 Beastman with swapped head looks like he's going to perform with KISS.

Skeletor's face reminds me of Frank Langella's Skeletor in the Masters of the Universe movie.

I think for what they are asking for it it's not worth it for me, but that's just a huge shame because I adore the Mer-Man and would have loved to have been able to purchase him separately.

the SDCC 2019 he-man looks the best IMO

Lords of Power Skeletor's face looks somewhat like an early version of Dark Despot Skeletor, from the Classics collection.

That Man-at-Arms with the fur trim, the bigger mace, the red belt-jewel and the paint deco on the helmet is the one I always wanted as a kid! I've always loved the cross-sell art and the early mini-comic art that depicts him with those details. Thanks for another excellent video!

I really love the look of this He-Man, and I really hope we see the sculpt down the line at some point. The price tag on this was absolutely ludicrous.

Looks like they packaged Beast Man with the belt on upside down. In the Lords of Power photo, the “balls” are shown on top instead of the bottom where they resemble... well, you know. LOL

This is an extremely cool set! Great review! I hope if MOTU Classics ever makes a comeback, they'll do a similar thing. Except not as a convention exclusive; they're too expensive to begin with, and then when the scalpers buy them out, the prices go to ridiculous levels.

I love the head sculpt on that He-Man. He needs to be tanner but I dig that old sculpt over the newer constipated, Sean Penn as Spicoli face.

Having the left and right backdrops connect with each other is a nice touch.

That Merman looks great!

That Skeletor figure looks really awesome. One can think of it at Skeletor in an ealier stage where his face is already decomposing but not yet a mere skull.

the different color on the back of skeletors kick pads can be explained by them just being pullovers like kick pads in pro wrestling so the blue/purple being different still makes sense.

Those are some really nice looking figures. A nice reference to the original prototypes. Hope there’s a way to get the Mer-man head here at mass retail later on. Like what they’re doing with the other He-man head sculpt for the upcoming Battle Armor figure. Although I’ve heard the price is rather iffy for a set of five figures. Even with all the extra details and packaging. Nice video overall!

Finally got around to watching this. Since I’ve seen your reviews on the rest of this line. But man oh man I was impressed with Most of these.I’m hoping the LOP listing on some of those newer figures is true. I prefer this beast man and man at arms head sculpt personally. I wasn’t a man at arms fan growing up. I remember not caring for the Mustache lol.

It would be cool if they kept these rare so they hold their value for the people who were able to pay the premium price, *but then released more common retail variants* (perhaps as whacky repaints, like the ReAction line did) which the rest of us schmoes could buy!

really dig this set, I just couldn't justify the price on it ,well the one bbts wanted , do love that MAA's he look very like the 200X/Classics look and the beastman is also awesome in this set. also love that he looks like he's leaping in the packaging

I especialy love Merman of course!! ANYWAY,i find that 300$ Price tag absolutely RIDICULOUS!! Maybe they should have added Teela,Evil Lyn and maybe Zodac ...that would have been a great remembrance of when MOTU hit the shelves back in the day(though Evil Lyn was a later addition)... So to sum it up: awsome set but repulsive Price tag! Keep on the good work Dan👍👍👍👍👍

I don't know if this MEANS anything but i just saw a preorder page go up on BBTS for Masters of the Universe origins, specifically calling out the LoP Beastman. So if you are interested they may be releasing these LoP versions of the origins figures as seperate releases in the upcoming years.

Not gonna lie, I bought this for the Man-at-Arms and the Beastman. I may even remove them and put the retail versions in their place. I just think this version of them is cooler. At lot more detail and better paint job.

While these aren't something I'd pick up but I do like that Mer-Man more than the vintage!

If your playing the "Pixel Dan Drinking game" - taking a shot each time "amazing" is stated, well...you'd be on the floor half way done on this one! Pre-ordered this during Power-Con and very excited, Mer-Man looks so good!

Oh I missed the yellow bit on shin guards for Skeletor.

Hope that merman comes out as a single release along with some more filmation style figures

While looking at the inside artwork, maybe you noticed it...maybe not. But the top and bottom are fully stretched landscapes. Reminded me of X-Men #1 when it spanned over 5 covers.

Pop off Skeletor’s head and replace the armor, and you can have a Skeletor with the less vibrant blue!

Love it, great review. I wished they used a left arm with no bracer and a closed fist for He-Man. Secondary characters Mer-Man, MAA and Beast Man stole the spotlight from He-Man and Skeletor imo. Axel Gimenez art is another Masterwork here. I can't wait to get this set. Thank you Dan!

Why does all the he-man armor have a weird chunk out of it, on the right side, by the red cross? My origins he-man has that too.

Dan debating if I need to buy one MIB and one for loose, can you please confirm that the figures are not fastened onto the plastic trays with rubber/plastic ties? Thanks much

The lords of power skeletor had human style feet and didn't have pants underneath the belt/skirt thingy. Merman is awesome and worth the price of the pack alone to me.

This box set looks a lot better than the figures at my local Walmart. I really dislike the head sculpt on the retail He-man.

Maaaaan, I'll pay $20 for Origins if we can get some of these sculpts and paint decos at retail! These look amazing! I'm all about the nostalgia with the first few waves of origins, but the way to go is definitely keeping the proportions/modularity/aesthetic they've got going now, but giving us Classics style details as far as sculpt and paint go, like with these figures (even though they're based off of vintage prototypes!). I also wouldn't mind some well made soft goods thrown in as well occasionally. I'm still fully backing Origins, but I'd really like to see some of this in 2021 to keep its momentum going. I'm also still very hopeful with the Keldor 2 pack (even though its an exclusive, which is my other big fear for the line if these ideas actually happen) that we'll see some really cool "deluxe" style figures with multiple accessories and paint apps, much like the battle armor figures coming later. ......Mostly I'm just griping a little because I desperately want that Mer-man lol

I was just playing my Masters of the Universe pop up board game with my 6 year old, when I noticed that the designs of beastman and Skeletor were actually the lords of power designs.

That man at arms is amazing but Merman stole the show

think they'll use this Beastman head to make an Origins Gygor? it could be pretty good, i think

Hopefully they continue the lop origins line, we are getting mer man and beast man so we just need skeletor and man at arms next
