As an artist in many different mediums it just kills me to see so much wonderful art & books sitting, collecting dust and worse, mold! Art is ment to be seen and appreciated, this is so depressing. The tiles on the wall in the kitchen and washroom were really nice and even though everything seems to be falling back to nature they are in incredible shape. Thats quality. The painted portrait of the little girl seemed as if her hands were not quiet finished. But paintings that could be repaired, tapestries, linens & laces to that you find in these places are all quiet valuable. Family photos, absolutely priceless. To see them being left to mold.... heartbreaking.

The tweezer things in the dining room are actually Snail Tongs for picking up Escargot 🐌 it is a French delicacy, they're cooked t in herbs, butter, white wine, garlic then use the tongs to pick them up use a long fork or skewer to pick the meat out of the shells...

Great house, so sad that the father just left after his wife and daughter had died. The two sons as you said disagreed over the sale, this means this lively house will probably just collapse and all the photos sadly perish. I agree we need Mark with you. Thanks for this one 💕🇦🇺

What a wonderful narration and the beauty of this once tranquil home is still evident. The Cabbage Patch doll in the "library" is worth more than everything else in that room combined. The white pyramid shaped item on top of the piano is called a metronome. It's front opens and an arm with a weight is on it and when you wind it and unlock the arm it swings back and forth so you can keep time correctly with the piece you are playing.

I recognise some of the paintings of the little girl with dog. They were quite popular in the ‘80s in my parents circle, when everyone was going through the Laura Ashley period of home furnishing. No idea who the artist was but I remember playing on the stairs with some of those paintings on plates hanging above me.

Can you imagine the cost of those painting today? If he’s as famous as you’re saying, the paintings should be rescued and put into a museum. The table which has all his tools, paint pellet and that table which everything is sitting on, needs to be kept in the exact same way in a museum. This home it amazing.

All my grandparents from the French Revolution and back to the earliest Kingdoms of Europe.., (including Charlemagne) ...were Kings and Queens from France and the rest of Europe as well ( nobility married nobility)....so I particularly love seeing the old castles and chateaus ....some of which may well have been taken from my Ancestors. Mark, get your butt to France!! This is really just a wonderful house. I always have loved the way the French decorate their doors to match their walls. And I also like how they made plain headboards into decorated headboard. This house looks really big and looks like you could almost get lost in it with all the twists and turns and stairs up and down. I love the car! Really is in great condition considering how long it has been abandoned. Wonderful wonderful explore! It seems to me that the big part off of the kitchen might’ve even been an outside kitchen with that big fireplace. I know that in older times they used to have them outdoors so that the smoke wouldn’t go through the house and it wouldn’t heat up the house in the summer. Again nice explore! Take care and blessings!

It’s so upsetting when you see the mess. It’s the vandals, they should be charged. It’s dreadful.

He probably can't travel like that because he has a regular job and children to feed. That's what I've heard, though.
