In 1966 the Mini with Alex Moulton's suspension system took the first nine places in the iconic Australian car race the Bathurst 500. A record no other manufacturer ever has repeated.
I'm mexican and you can count by hand how many Moulton's are in my country, that's because A) for the average mexican it's a pretty steep priced bicycle B) very few people enjoy the desing, and understand the performance of a small wheeled bicyle So you can see people that have expensive road bikes for weekend rides, and laugh at you when you pass in your brompton or moulton, but they just stay back and eat our dust! I will save for a TSR and hopefully that would be riding it in two years
Nicely done, but why is it that every review or overview has the rider in seriously sub-optimal setup? 6'8" rider, or jeans, flat shoes, backpack, seat barely adjusted, stem not adjusted, and who knows about the suspension? These bikes, esp the pylons, can *rip*, even on cobblestones, and they are insanely great on descents, but there's never a demonstration of this. It's always toodling along while being passed by people on knobbies. Harumph.
