How to set the Moultrie Pro Hunter 2 feeder. The timer in this feeder is the same one as in the Super Pro Magnum feeder as well. More information about this feeder can be found at the following Amazon link: amzn.to/3kz2gRF
Thank you for doing this video. Between the video, the instructions, and my 22 years of using timers I figured it out. I set the timer up the way I want it to function at HOME then install it at the ranch. I like the RESET BUTTON ON THE FRONT OF THE TIMER. I had a Moultrie Timer that all of sudden just stopped working one day. The reset button behind the timer panel started it again, but Eventually it stop working after being in the field for about 5 year. I have also gone to the Moultrie 6V REGARGEABLE BATTERY. IT WORKS GREAT. Every time I go to the ranch I SWAP it out with THE EXTRA BATTERY THAT I charge at home. I am trying out the DIRECTIONAL TIMER for deer feeding. Will see how it goes. Again, thank you!
I had to comment on this one. Yes, it's way over engineered for what a hunter needs but, your video really helped out a lot. us old folks (76) can set it up from your video, yes, the printed instructions are in need of more detail. I like Moultrie products for what I use them for. note:, I just got this unit yesterday, set up the hopper and legs in my shop and after looking at the instructions, brought the timer with me to the computer and came on RU-vid, watching you go through the procedure, step by step (pausing between each step to operate the beast) I was able to get it set for operating 7 days a week, once in the morning and once in the evening. I will be playing with it some more before I take it to the field. Practice makes perfect. Love the test mode but don't like going through several steps to get there. (insert laughter here) Thank you for a great how-to video, I will be watching it several more times to get it burned into my brain. If I had not been mechanically inclined and an electronics background, I would have been lost in some places....
Comments like yours make my day. I have had to reference my video a few times myself when setting the feeder in the field . . . after going through it a few times it will get easier. Happy Holidays, thanks again for the comment. BTW, 76 is the new 65 you are a mature buck but you've got lots of time ahead of you :).
I have the Pro II and the instructions are extremely vague. Thanks to you I got it programed, but I was wondering if you knew what the 2 unstripped wires are that are labeled Feeder Activator Connection + and - Everything appears to be working, but I have no idea what the extra wires are for
Glad the video helped. Moultrie sells a remote system you can use with this feeder. So if you buy it, you hook it up to those cables. . . .basically it allows you to sit in your stand and click a remote control to make your feeder throw whenever you want. I will put a link below, hope that helps and makes sense. www.moultriefeeders.com/feeder-activator-remote-control
Thank you for explaining i bought this to feed my chickens ducks and turkeys but had the spin settings too low and lbs too high everything works awesome now I can go away and not worry about having someone come and feed them
Like toilet paper math, lol. I dont care for how the dispenser attaches to the feeder. Somehow, the critter's have figured out how to keep removing it.
Please go back to the old setup system because this new system is way to complicated, there is no reason to have so damn many setting. RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!
