This thing is a piece of garbage. Total waste of money. If you want quality buy tachacam

Batteries last 3 days..junk

You can’t change the settings without the mobile app. You can’t get into the app after downloading it because it never recognizes your password you registered with. Even if you change the password it still doesn’t recognize it. Total FUBAR.

Do you need to use an sd card or is it optional?

Just got one paid 80 bucks couldn’t pass it up
