Follow the Spokane Mountaineers summit of Mount Baker via the Boulder Glacier Route. Two teams from the Spokane Mountaineers spent 2.5 days climbing and camping on Mt. Baker. On Day 1, we hiked through an old-growth forest from the Boulder Ridge Trailhead to base camp on Boulder Ridge. On Day 2, we started our ascent at 1am to the Mt. Baker summit. The conditions were great and there were spectacular views from the top. Mt. Baker has a height of 10,781 feet! On the way up, there was a strong smell of sulfur as Mt. Baker is a dormant stratovolcano. We went over some small crevasses and were able to glissade on our way down the mountain.
