Mount Baker, also known as Koma Kulshan, is the third tallest mountain in Washington. It is a thermally active volcano, with fumaroles venting sulfuric gases near the summit. Enormous glaciers blanket its slopes, which receive some of the highest snowfall totals in the world. This video takes you along the Heliotrope Ridge trail to our base camp and then along the Coleman Deming climbing route to the 10,718’ summit. This classic Northwest climb requires strength, ambition, and mountaineering skills. But for those that have what it takes, it is one in a lifetime experience that you will cherish forever.
