Because there is little bandits I feel like people would rather you cheat yourself some money, an inheritance perhaps than spend most of the season in early game

I was dumb enough to shoot a gun in a cave, it hurts like hell. Not just a bad time but possibility of ear drums rapturing or going deaf temporarily.

I got lucky and won a few noble mounts that sold for 15k doing tournaments than got some caravans going to bring in so steady cash

I think your best bet on cash might be running caravan escort jobs or being a merc and raiding villages. The caravan jobs will cover your daily wages and you keep the loot. Raiding villages will give you goods to sell and cash from your merc contract.
