Mount de Chantal Documentary - For Mind and Spirit 

Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy was a private Catholic all-girls school in Wheeling, WV. Founded in 1848 as the Wheeling Female Academy, it moved locations in 1865 and would be renamed the Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy. Commonly referred to as "The Mount," it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and the school would later cease operations on May 31, 2008. Wheeling Hospital purchased the building in 2010, but no preservation efforts could ever be coordinated. Demolition plans became final in 2011.
This video project was filmed by the Walkabout Co. in 2008, and was funded by Wheeling Heritage, Schenk Chaitable Trust, and the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley.
