Mount Rundle is possibly the most popular scramble around Banff, if not in all of the park. From the west, its unique shape demonstrate a writing desk geological formation. This scramble is not easy, we found that summit quite challenging but doable for experienced scramblers. A few times, I wanted to quit but I kept pushing and I didn't regret. The views on Banff and Bow Valley from the summit are absolutely stunning. It is a straightforward ascent, super steep, tediously steep scree in the last few hundreds meters. IT IS A SLOG! Be prepared for sore legs for at least 2-3 days following that scramble!
