Mountain Hardwear is the most improved brand for the Fall/Winter 2023/2024 season. Overall their lineup is superior to Patagonia this year, and encroaching into Arcteryx territory with products like the Routefinder GTX Pro. Their Powergrid Hoodie is what the R1 used to be, and they've got the Stretchdown series dialed in perfectly. What a lineup. This Kor Statis looks like a great competitor to the Arctreyx Proton and Patagonia Nano-Air.

That is some really good feedback and I am sure MH will love to hear this! I would agree on this. The MH offerings this year are really stacked. I am getting ready to do a detailed glove review on MH and I hope it helps as they have the best line up (maybe even better than Hestra, which is saying A LOT!) on goat leather gore-tex gloves. I live in the KOR for most occasions. (heck it was just raining here in Denver and 35F, and his was perfect for that)

Thank you! not enough Mountain Hardware stuff on RU-vid. My favorite outdoor gear brand period. Looking into buying an older Gore Winstopper Fleece I found on eBay to save a few bucks.. although I'd love to have this. Great jacket to pack away but be able to depend on in 3-season stuff. I still use a 2012 version of this.. doesn't even have a name just a Bolt logo haha.

Would love to see this compared to the Patagonia Nano Air (king of active in my opinion). Also you might want to start adding Stio to your comparisons - they make very ski specific stuff and have an active insulation piece (Furnos Jacket). I'm seeing a ton of their gear out in the wild while skiing!

@@Engearment I believe there are a few from the big players. Patagonia Nano Air, Arcteryx Proton etc. I think it would be interesting to add some of the hunting apparel companies as well. They seem to be pushing some interesting stuff, and using proprietary fabrics for softshells, hardshells, active insulation and down products. (Kuiu, Sitka, First Lite etc)

@@readyme Good call on that. We have been working with some more bow hunting gear and I think that a lot of those companies are doing a great job with the active insulation, like you said. I will pitch KUIU, and some other and see what we can work out. Thanks for the tip!

Here we go again ... 60 g/m2? Mountain Hardwear's website fails to list fill weight, surprise-surprise. 🙄

Yep. They are probably in updates for the Fall 2023 gear. The specs I got directly from them were 80 and 60g. It certainly feels like 80g in the body!
