Got my MLD Duomid in DCF mid-pandemic and took it out to snowy's a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Like you, I just want space to relax inside in bad weather, maybe do my cooking, sit in my Helinox chair etc. Now I want to start taking my wife or kids out, so am thinking of upsizing to the Supermid - only 100g more weight (DCF) for an extra 108cm in depth and 35cm head height. Yes they are expensive, but if I sell my duomid it's not too much of a cost for so much more space. I'm 50 now, and not very flexible, so the idea of having decent head room to get dressed etc is very important. Just need to research my options re using two walking poles vs dedicated wizard staff!

FYI - the peak vent is made from DCF Hybrid material, same as MLD's DCF packs. it has a rigidity that helps it stay open

I can’t imagine what the two blokes behind you in the water were thinking about down there. Perhaps the young man with a learning challenge up on the hill is having a seizure 😂 Bless his heart... Gandalf would be proud. Love that MLD tent. It is awesome.

Ok so I should have remembered the weight of this tent. I just purchased the Durston X-mid 1p BUT honestly, if I had the budget I would buy this one....really 540g for that much space 😱???

Yes but thats in DCF. Also, it wouldnt have the innernet.
