Okay I have a couple questions about freebording. 1 do you keep to an edge always or stay in the middle? 2 How smooth does the road need to be? finally how long do wheels last for you guys?
1) you can ride on the centers or edges but keeping your weight only on the middle increases the risk of catching an edge 2) the roads can be rough but smoother pavement = smoother ride 3) the lifespan of a wheel depends on the urethane forumula, surface of the road, steepness, and the amounting of sliding. ~ Our longest lasting wheel is the Haight Privilege and riders typically have a set of wheels for 1-3 months
@@Ben-ph3gb - some type of rubber washer between the base tabs and the nuts eliminates broken base tabs imo. Along with not over tightening the nuts. I use 00 1/2 inch Danco plumbing washers. I also think it absorbs some vibrations. My boards always feel super smooth and solid...no rattling or vibrations. I often also have an 1/8 inch rubber pad cut out to match the base and placed between the base and deck...everything so smooth. I swear by it, though I've never come across anyone else that has done the same.
Talk to the dude Aaron who makes it in Brooklyn. They come out to our rides, they might cut you a deal if you show them off I guess. Good luck. Still learning mine.
wish I could man. Do what I did, and get it off some kid that I think; thought it was a boosted board. He was scared of it! Big Discount! Awesome video tho man.
