Abbeville SC is the birthplace and Death bed of the confederacy. We used to live close by. The Little Biscuit Barn is amazing. We grew up in Honea Path, SC.
My word for 2024 is preparedness. Physical, spiritual. And food. For hard times. Take care everyone. Y’all may want to add a EMP shield to your vehicle.
Okay, you know I'm from the NW Panhandle of Florida. The snow was beautiful. I wouldn't want to drive on it though. The food look sooo good and those Jethro Bodeen biscuits were huge. I love the small towns with all of the history. Abbeville looked so nice. Can't wait for the next video. Thanks for sharing. Have fun, be safe, and God Bless ❤
Seeing you go over the mountain in the snow reminded me of the time my parents got stuck in the snow on the road up to Newfound Gap in the Great Smoky Mountains in 1973. They were pulling our Shasta trailer and had to basically spend the night on the side of the mountain. I wasn't with them because I was attending my college orientation. I can definitely understand Karen's concern!
I was so excited to see The Little Biscuit Barn in this video. 😍 I'm from the small town of Honea Path SC and this is a classic location for a yummy homemade biscuits.❤ Home Sweet Home.❤
I was just shaking my head and chuckling a bit at the snow fear 😂 As a native Pennsylvanian, I consider that amount of snow on the road negligible! But, I sympathize ❤
I have so many great memories of being in the mountains during snow!! Everyone still drives in it ( unlike here in Alabama)🤣but I will say we don’t have all the trucks to put out the salt and stuff!! Enjoyed this so much😊😊😊. PS I use that southern biscuit mix to make my biscuits.. so good!!!
That was funny, the music you set, driving through the snowy mountains. I can relate to the white knuckling. You guys were smart, you left when you should, because it usually doesn't get better. My condolences about Mr. T. We lost 2 of ours around the same time. They sure are special and they do take a bit of our souls when it's their time. Good video, keep them coming.
I'm with Karen😯😬 I'm would have been nervous too😬🙏🏻 Lucky we both have great drivers 👍🏻😊 What a cute little restaurant 😋 and town to vist. Thanks for sharing 🤗 God bless
Beautiful drive thru the snow.I live close to biscuit barn one of my co-workers started the business, I have eaten more biscuit from there than I can count when I was still working. Wished I had know you were in my neighborhood welcome to SC.
That's ok Karen when I drove a big rig snow covered roads always scared me to , I loved the little Biscuit Barn in the video , my wife said she loves your pretty hats and you and Mike are such a sweet couple be safe and have fun ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hello, Mike and Karen. Hope you're doing weglad. John might be the cross of mountain Malcolm. You can find some of the best places I've ever seen. Glad you'll continue to enjoy life. Take care God bless.
Absolutely beautiful. The breakfast looked amazing. Does it usually snow enough to stick to the roads in the Smokies in February around Valentine's Day? I hope you guys have a wonderful and blessed new year.
What an adventure. Nothing better than getting out and exploring the regional scene. That breakfast at the Little Biscuit Barn looked delicious. It’s so much fun to get out of the house and explore these small towns in our area. That Winnebago sure seems makes traveling convenient. Really enjoy the content on your channel. Safe travels and just a reminder to spend time enjoying everyday. - Tennessee Smoky
Glad y’all made it safely. I’m sure this is just the beginning of traveling through inclement weather over the next couple months - especially in east TN. Great video. Thanks for taking us along and safe travels!!
Good thing Karen wasn't a driver's ed teacher! The music you added to video while driving through the blizzard, lol was spot on. If yall had that biscuit before yall left Tennessee you could have put in in the back of the van for extra weight for traction since it was that big! We liked the Abbeville town square. By the way I'm going to suggest yall to go to Covington Georgia on a visit . Their town square is similar and has quite the shops and a restaurant called MYSTIC GRILL that is supposed to be great. The town has had several tv shows including IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT, and several movies filmed there too. Great video as always and can't wait to see part 2! Happy 2024 and many safe travels!
I’m glad that music you chose for the video while tackling those mountain’s wasn’t playing in real time. Poor Karen would have had to put earplugs in and an eye mask on!❤ Glad all went well and really enjoyed the video. Thanks and God Bless🥰
Mike and Karen, really enjoyed your video! I'm hungry for some breakfast now, because, that really looked good and so did the big biscuits! What an absolutely beautiful Church with all the beautiful stained glass windows! Love y'all and God Bless You!❤️❤️
Enjoy every one of your videos. We are in SW central Indiana and have had NO snow this year and I love snow ........therefore nice to see that. God bless you.
I love snow, as long as I do not have to drive in it. I live close to Charlotte, so we hardly ever get snow, but if it comes from Atlanta, watch out. LOL I love to get out and walk in it, don't know why. The breakfast looked so good. I loved the church, it was beautiful. I love old churches they are so pretty. I used to go to Bermuda, and we found a very old church called St George's Parish Church, 1612. It was very small and beautiful. It even had a cemetery in the back it was so old. Easter lilies bloom wild in Bermuda, they were blooming, so pretty. Bermuda used to send the Queen of England Easter Lilies every Easter. I don't know if they send them to King Charles or not. I love history and especially churches. Thank you for sharing, I enjoy your videos so much. It is amazing to see Mike still open the car door for you, that is something you do not see much anymore. He is a true gentleman. It is just the little things that mean so much to us ladies.
Oh man. That brings back really good feels. My husband and I had season tickets to the Abbyville opry house. We would drive a couple hours and play around town til evening. Go see the play then drive home. Such a cute opry house. We had so much fun those weekends. I hope I get there again someday. They have a mast store too.
Absolutely loved learning about yall through Stacie, I have been going through and watching yalls amazing videos. Im the girl at the drive thru window lol.
