This customer had a terrible noise coming from one of her wheels when she pulled into the campground. I was able to figure out the problem and get her back on the road in a jiffy.

Yeah, my car trailer did the exact same thing. Adjuster fell out when I was backing it in and locked the wheel. I just put it back in. Good job on your fix!

I like to use my Channelock pliers to squeeze the Scotchlok connections. Open them up a little and it allows even pressure to the top of the press plate so it doesn’t tilt when engaging the wires.

My twin brother pasted away two years ago after getting covid the second time. So wish I had spent more time with him than I did . Sure would be nice to just talk to him again. One day you will wish you did spend that additional time with them.

I have a friend that worked for Park Service in maintenance. He was helping me repack wheel bearings and clean the brake shoes. We were doing it on a concrete pad that had a tilt to it to keep water from running into the garage. When I started to place a hydraulic jack underneath the spring mount he had a fit that it would slip out. We finished the repairs but to keep him happy I took a spring saddle and welded it to a pipe reducer that fit onto the piston of the jack. So the saddle would cradle the axle and the reducer would fit on the jack, kept it from slipping out but adds a bit of height for fitting underneath the axle.

That probably worked well.

Thanks for the video on RV brakes. I need to do an inspection on my brakes. Also, big Kudos on helping brother. I had two surgeries in last six months. My brother put aside his busy schedule to go out of town and sit with me. Thanks, yall have a great day

I had the same thing happen. Turns out they put the wrong side auto-adjuster in and every time I stopped normally, it adjusted and actually loosened the brakes instead of tightening. Finally it just fell apart. I'm wondering if that's what the problem was here.
@hillbillyrv
@hillbillyrv 28 дней назад
These are not self adjusting.

Could you not use a WAGU on it with electrical tape to keep out the water and dust?
@mxslick50
@mxslick50 28 дней назад
Nope. Tape tends to loosen and fall off, plus it leaves air gaps and pockets and water WILL always get in. Best to use the proper connectors, the gel keeps water and dirt out.

Yes. What mxslick said.
