The story of hunting, harvesting, and mounting a competition whitetail! 🦌
I competed with this deer at the Oklahoma Taxidermy Competition and the National Taxidermy Competition. I was fortunate to win state champion and North American champion cm whitetail, amongst other awards!
This deer means a lot to me and I’m happy to be able to share the story with all of you.

Incredible! Love it. It looks so good on my iPad screen. Can’t imagine what it looks like in person. So I assume the tanning of the hide destroys the actual bumps in the nose? I see others put a glue like dots on the nose. To get that natural looking bump? Fabulous mount. Fabulous!

This is so pretty! I’ve always admired taxidermy from afar so seeing the actual process is so interesting! Out of curiosity, what do you do with the rest of the deer? I know people articulate skeletons; do you ever give the bones to people who do that?

You missed the mark. She shot a mature deer, which will feed her. And to honor the animal she made it into a beautiful mount that will be something that she can look at every day. It turned out great by the way. Well done
