What somebody needs to do is to either 3D print or manufacture a taller side button plastic assembly. 1.5-2.0mm and ideally similar to Finalmouse which to me are some of the best available.

I want to buy a g502x lightspeed but the price is so ex compare to the plus, I thought it was supposed to be cheaper, also I wanted to just have your g502x plus weight reduction like yours, I calculated the price to 140usd but when I check out it went to 240usd which is 300 plus to me, I was wondering what was the excess cost that was 100 more?

My GPX's side buttons just started to double click, so I'm relieved you have a video showing how to replace them. I looked at one of those ribbon thingies in a GPX once and destroyed it, the whole mouse ceases to function.

@@Beardedbob Well my GPX is out of warranty, so I gave it a shot anyway, being ultra careful this time... and the contact pads came off the ribbon as if they were held on by some thin glue. The ribbon itself is in new looking condition, the pads seem like they were never connected at all. RIP. I'll call Logitech and see if I can order a replacement ribbon cable, I'm not hopeful. They used to send replacement external parts (caps, wrist rests) for KBs once upon a time. Edit: They list no spare parts for the GPX online and are closed until Monday. Nice.
