Really Appreciate your videos and Content Big progress on the new mouse trap Just make sure that your air bags extend straight in your brackets, so when your aired up a straight line between Have a Great Day 👍 God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
That V-6 came in a diesel 478cu called a GM TORO Flow I put 1 in a 67 C 20 Chevy in 1973 it wasn't the first diesel pickup but there weren't many like it back then.
Cory loves bags, huh? You guys are so much fun! I appreciate the home-built ingenuity as well as the enjoyable method you have of working together. The Trap is lookin' good so far!
Hannah you belong in that garage you’re doing awesome with your welding and Cory would be lost without you. Having said that use, gloves when handling steel, ear plugs all the time and glasses when drilling or grinding. You’ll be good to go. Love the content, keep it coming.
They made a handful of big block V6s back in the 50s/60s. 305, 351, 401 and 478c.i. were the cubic inches made. Not sure how to tell which one you have though. Love your builds. Got sent over here about a month ago or so from Hardcore Fab Shop. Getting caught up on your videos.
That new 660 truck looks good. I don't think I've ever seen one before. And I for sure have not seen that V6 engine before, even I'm a V6 guy (mostly Ford Cologne engines from Capri etc) Nice to see Mousetrap is getting closer to driveable. Good work! Also nice to see the cat 🙂
Check out classic truck rescue !!! Rick can fill in every detail that you need to know about this gmc !!! He will also have parts for it !!!! Awesome Morning brother and little sister !!! Great progress on the mousetrap !!!! As always awesome video !!! Yall are so awesome !!! Always stay strong stay true stay real stay you all lol !!!
Rat Rod Bob says he takes his cars apart n puts them back together with every piece you build onto the car. So which one of yall is the 'corndog' ? Yall 2 are definitely the most fun couple of hot rodders to watch. Thanks for making Wednesday fun.
Corey, you can always if needed! Cap one end of pipe, fill with sand and pack it in then cap that end! It usually bends almost perfectly brother! Get it like you like it and let cool before you cut the ends off! Leave no air space for kinks in the pipe, just takes a little time Corey! I’ve had to do it at work because they didn’t want to buy the size die I needed, cheap employers! But it does work brother! Corey, I had always liked using the high cuff tig gloves! More comfortable and really soft and flexible brother!
I'm lost between the Crosley and the 41 but it doesn't really matter when the humidity and the temperature get really bad what are you going to do then Hannah especially now that safety is a priority keep pushing the envelope guys be careful and stay safe God love ya both
hey guys just to help the light bolts will not hold the weight of the hood they will break at the first bump and will not stay tight like the look keep up the rust
My wife and I really enjoy watching "The Wheaties" on Wednesday evenings! In last night's video (04-12-23), I had a "Cringe Moment" during the air bag installation and watching the weight of the engine bend the upper control arm. Isn't that a formula for disaster when the "Mousetrap" hits the road?
Hi there Hannah and Cory! I thought should pass on a little info I got from an old timer regarding the model a rims. I build a 49 f-5 and used similar ford wire spoked rims. I used a spacer just like it looks like you guys did. I had about 1/4” gap between the drum surface and the rear surface of rim hub. He told me that those rim hub centers need to press up against a solid surface at the same time the rim hits the surface of the adapter where the lug nut holes in the rim are. This is so the spokes have support they need to keep the rim “true” when driving down rough roads. I had to chuck them up on the lathe and take 1/4” off the adapter. You might even be able to make a plate on the plasma table with a large diameter that bolts between the disc rotor and wheel adapter with your bolt pattern. I hope I explained that clearly for you. Maybe you already were aware of that but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to reach out! I love your projects! Keep up the awesome content!!!!!!
I appreciate you guys sharing your projects with us. It's funny watching you guys fussin' with each other, but not wanting to take it too far. Do you guys ever road trip Hannah's truck to shows?
My thoughts (although I've not finished the video yet), would be to take that bag-tower brace across the front, would be to cut it out, leaving a couple inches on each AB tower, then weld on a couple of 2-bolt 1/4" thick flanges, cut 1/2" off the cross bar, weld it all together, then bolt that support strut in. This will allow access to that crank pulley, without having to pull the engine, should you ever need to do maintenance in that area.. Just a suggestion.. We used to do this on chock towers on rock crawlers, where the tower strut went across the top of the engine, barely clearing the intake manifold. Then, you can pop out 4 bolts, and have plenty of access, should you need it.
Man im so jealous your living your dream an killing it!!! She's a partner like no other! I really wish we had barn, or field finds like you guys have here in Canada! Watching ur's and bad Chad's vids have me hungry! Canada flooring guy cuz i capitalize on a trade that propensity did me well but now wanting better for myself! In high-school we were tought with al torches, and definitely wasn't as talented with that so i mastered wood! An gave up on metal.. But with Watching you all here, I'm gonna give it a go... i believe i can master the art an finish off with my passion of vehicles! Thank you both i support and appreciate all you guy's do...
Kool build, you can use a sewing tape measure on the radius measurement, they work nicely for that instead of bending the steel tape, your tip of the day. 💯🆒
Don't let em give you hell Hannah. Some women need help looking good and some, like you don't. Cory is a lucky guy and just keep showing us the projects.
There were a couple different sizes of the Torque master GMC V6 the one I am most familiar with is the 305! I’m definitely a Cummins fan but that V6 might be a cool engine to use! Jus sayin
the 4wd community has a coupling for roll bars you can use for that front bar where it is removeable should you need to work on motor. they are strong Fab Rats has used them on some of their builds as well they are super strong. muddy beards has used them also
You might want to look into making the cross bar over the engine & make it removable then you get the space back in front of the engine & you can probably mount your turbo on to the cross bar. Just a thought. Great work regardless. 👍🏼
Corey... Dude... You don't have to yell. LOL Yeah, it's funny to joke about PPE until you see somebody get hurt. I had a coworker who was grinding wearing a face shield AND safety goggles. Two pieces of red hot steel took the perfect bounce and lodged in his cornea and actually got melted in there. When you grind, you're getting pelted with millions of tiny metal shards and it's just a numbers game before one takes the perfect bounce. Like I said safety's a joke until you''re cleaning blood off the shop floor or sending a coworker to the Emergency Room.
Make sure you go by and see nsane hotrodz inside st the rod run. Black 65 chevy shortbed 2wd factory style no trim. Black bed wood. Me and him built that Truck I did all the body and wood he did the fab and painted. Powder coated frame etc
Hey guys me and my wife love watching you every week. Where did you just sayy? We're gonna be this weekend is it pigeon forwards? We might would like to try to come.
I hate waiting on parts. Im finally going to pick up my transmission that is built to 800 HP tomorrow. I can finally get the engine mount brackets done for this 64 F100.
Does the top rad hose reach the upper rad outlet if you just spin it 180 degrees from where it currently points (pointing to the right instead of the left)? Love the design for the front bags (yes, they do look good!)
Hey Cory. That V6 is probably a 478 cu in. Read up on it. It's a very interesting engine. Don't junk it. I have a 73' GMC with a V6 478 and I'm gonna leave it in the truck. It's unique. I saw the engine and had to stop the video to let you know. Keep smiling!
A hiem joint will look kind of good if you run it down off the grill on the side of the grill down there where do you want to go? I know it’s expensive though them Heim joints are not cheap
A Tip from watching Bad Chad’s channel he uses masking tape on curved surfaces rather than using a steel tape measure for duplicating layout marks from one side to the other, he places marks on the masking tape removes it and places it on the other side.
