It turned out cute…. This is one of the many reason why i looovveeee our natural curls. Wen all else fails we can fluff our hair out or put it in a cute high or low bun and be out the door STILL PRETTTTTYY!!! 🥰😌
It came out nice. Next time when you use the mouse make sure to use A LOT. Your hair should be soaking wet and it should look soapy. That is how the CEO of the Doux said it should be used . Love your hair btw !
I feel the same way about mousse def by itself. I had quiet calm but gave it away without even trying it, lol. I think you partnering with a curl specialist is a great idea.
TBH the detox looks to be working for your hair! It looks soooo good!! Screw feeling the product on your hair lol. I really hope u continue to limit oils and butter cause it looks good on ya
Our hair definitely let's us know what it wants and how it feels. So many times I had an idea of what style I was trying to create but my hair did what it wanted to do and I embraced it 🙌 For me less is more so I don't waste time and energy 🙄🤣 Your hair looks great😍 A trim will definitely make your end results better and your hair detangling sessions easier 🤞👌❤
My stylist cut me kinky when my hair was shorter and I first big chopped because I had different shrinkage levels. Now that my hair is, medium length (I made it ya'll out of the awkward phase 🙌🏾) she cuts me lightly blown out. I'll have to ask her why she switched it up since I still have different shrinkage levels all over my head. Anyway, when she's done, my afro (I only wear my hair in wash in go afros) look even 🤷🏾♀️.
I’m with you on using some type of leave in under the mouse. I also felt the same way about the cut but I stuck with a bob because I’m greying and it looks like it would be easier to care for a bob as it grows.
It’s hard to see from over the screen here but for The Doux specifically you can use more. The owner says for using it, albeit alone, use generously till it feels “soapy” on the hair. It looks like you didn’t use enough mousse. Just my observation. I have used this mousse quite a bit and it’s tempting to use less but you can use more next time but awesome just trying and learning and sharing. Love watching! P.s I was sharing while watching so I see you noticed to use more. Again loving the journey ❤️
Girl to me you did a great job.👌🥰 I gave up on cornrows and flat twists years ago when I had to cut my WL hair to SL due to getting it so tangled from trying to cornrow that there was no other option. Trust me I tried and had help but it was like I crocheted my hair together and that tangle wasn't coming out. That was the last of the cornrow "practice" for me!🤔 🤦
Your hair looks wonderful! :-) This style definitely suits you. Kudos for trying the flat twist. My brain and fingers just can't grasp the concept yet to try it out. Also, I don't think I will get a curly cut. Even though I'll probably be rocking my natural curls 80-85% of the time, I do love twists and twist-out and I love to have my hair straightened once a year. Nice to see how the Quiet Calm/Mousse Def combo worked. I'll definitely try it out when I'm ready to do twists. Again, your hair looks wonderful. Keep up the good work. :-)
Firstly, your hair looks gorgeous. In regards to trims, I prefer trimming my hair when its blown out/straight and I wear wash and goes most of the time. I tried a curly/deva cut like 3 years ago. The stylist was amazing and I really loved it. But I am so used to having my ends feel smooth and blunt and I know that seeing split ends when your hair is curly is hard. I spent like a year and a half growing it out and self trimming before going back to my regular stylist. I maintain my shape by keeping the back of my hair cut more often. So when I get a trim, I have my stylist cut a little more off the back (because it grows the fastest and starts to look like a tail when my hair is curly). The rest of my hair is pretty even when curly. If someone has multiple curl patterns that shrink differently, maybe a curly cut would be beneficial.
I’m very similar. I like to get the big cuts done yearly and maintain the cut in between. I’ve personally seen the best results that way. It just depends on the person and what they’re willing to do to upkeep their hair. 😊
@@LaToyaEbonyHair you can always get a blow out to get a clean trim, wear your blow out for a week to do twist outs etc and then come back to the salon and get a curly cut
Your hair looks great. I looked back at an older video and your hair looked a little ashen, maybe the from the lighting or oils/butter. Now, it looks rich and luscious.
@@LaToyaEbonyHair lol we both will!! I love doing flat twist but I just don’t have the time to do them all the time. Trying to get the nice clean lines and etc lol 😂
Fab and effervescent as always Latoya! 7:19 Zoe would look bomb with an angled shape because of your facial features 😍 Anyway I’m sure a professional stylist would best guide you regarding shape if you wanted suggestions. Personally I like a trim on blown out or straightened hair as I like precise cutting and it looks good when I do stretched styles. Tried dry cut on my coils and it grew out hideously but it works a treat for others 🤷🏾♀️ I’m thinking of getting a version of the shag on my natural hair soon though!
I like the poofy hair. I want to get better at flat twist outs too 😩 I had to get used to wearing mousse because I would think I'm overusing it. For cuts, I have seen stylists say to get it cut the way you usually wear it so twist out wearers could get it cut in a blown out/stretched state. This is mostly for optimal shape from what I gather. (Just posting generally since I'm sure by now you've had a cut and I am no one's expert 🤣) My stylist at the moment cuts my hair wet and I mostly just cared to 1) get rid of my ends 2) cut my hair shorter the first time I went lol.
I love the fluff! I'm so curious about that silky feeling but I'm using my stash and I'm not buying anything else. There aren't any raw oils or butters but I still deep condition.
@@LaToyaEbonyHair it does come out more defined with the flat twist than when I do the two strand twist & it takes less time. My roots are always so puffy when I two strand that flat twisting works a lot better for me. It started out good today but then it stormed & the shrinkage looked like I never twisted it lol. But I loved the way yours turned out. But your hair is longer than mine & probably a lot healthier. I’m still trying to figure all this out lol
Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeee don't curly cut your hair...or let them cut 3 or 4 inches off straightened. PLEASE!!! Okay...I'm calm now...its your hair, whatever you do make yourself happy!!! 🤗
Your hair reacted similar to mine in twists. I no longer do twist outs because I have to do my flat twists/2 strand twists smaller for them to come out defined. My hair is extremely thick/dense and I don't have the time patience to put all those twists in, wait for them to dry and take them out. Braid outs tend to be best when I want to do something other than a wash & go.
