Pride literally gives you nothing, tho. If someone gifts you with a point, especially in a game that doesn't matter, you should go ahead and take the point!😅
that reminded me of that time when 4-chan made a image of piccolo roping vegita and they made purple and green themed items into a rope joke just like how | l | | | | -- is a loss joke
I like the idea that you could just accidentally start reading a book from a completely different series / universe and not notice because the story is already super convoluted.
@@DefaOmega I feel like you could also insert allot of the character names from Harry Potter and nobody would blink. Like yeah, Ronald Weasley totally serves at the wall right?
The backwards Konami code is the first “Um, Actually” background prop that actually managed to trigger me. Mainly because of how long it took me to memorize it as a kid 😅
@@xyzen9673 uhm actually, if read right to left it's still not correct because the arrows in the middle point right left right left instead of left right left right. This shows that it is indeed the wrong way and not just written right to left.
Um actually, her name is Myrcella Baratheon. Her status as a bastard was never officially recognized and she died still being considered the child of Robert.
@@hakasims They would not legitimize Cersei's children because they would be admitting that they were not Robert's children, which would mean they had no claim to the Iron Throne
@@sophliberty what do you mean don't tighten? That's how a tourniquet works. You need to tighten it until blood flow stops, then fasten it to ensure it doesn't loosen. It is literally a last resort for that reason, and you can bet if I'm near someone with femoral artery bleeding I'm doing a goddamn tourniquet. They have minutes at best if the bleeding isn't locked down. This is coming from a WFR trained person, however, and I'm trained specifically to treat people in the backcountry and at least an hour away from medical attention. There are ways to ensure a person doesn't lose the limb from a tourniquet, but it can mean a difference between life and death. If it was me in the situation, I'd be alright with losing a limb as opposed to bleeding out.
Um Actually: a tourniquet has been proven to only cause significant tissue damage if left in place for many hours. If you're exsanguinating from a wound that COULD be controlled with a tourniquet, a tourniquet is both effective and safe to use, provided that you then proceed to seek medical attention.
@@kushmongoonie Um actually: current TCCC guidelines recommend placing the tourniquet just superior (above) the source of the bleeding, if you know where the bleeding is coming from. If you don't know where the source of the bleeding is, then they recommend going as high on the limb as possible ("High and Tight").
It's also worthy of note that a tourniquet can be in place for upwards of 16 hours without definitive loss of a limb! Also, don't remove those bad boys. Blood toxicity and/or stroke or heart attack can occur if the clots release.
Um actually you can't tourniquet a neck or torso (well you can but it might not have the desired effect) so as the question states it would not be the best option to stop heavy bleeding (ambiguous)
Ummm actually, I really wish I could have seen Emily accidentally dominate some D&D questions in her element. (her element being both accidents and D&D)
um actually you're perfectly able to access the shrieking shack from hogsmeade, people just don't because it's so haunted. unless rowling's said something out of canon which I would argue should never count especially in her specific case, there's nothing actually stopping people from just walking right over there, they just. don't.
@@Blasted2Oblivion but if there are multiple interpretations of what is written in the books, readers should be free to interpret what it written however they want.
@@Blasted2Oblivion Sure, but unless it's information that's officially published then it doesn't really hold the same weight to a general audience. Like she could say something now on a whim but change her mind in a year after giving it more thought and scrapping it for something better.
I guess it depends on what you consider to be "temporary invincibility". You are technically temporarily invincible with only 1 HOOGIDA, it's just that you lose that invincibility when you get hit.
I still think there's a continuity error because in Episode IV, Mon Mothma does say "many Bothans died to bring us this information" and I don't rememeber them showing that or anything in Rouge One.
@@BlaqRainFresh Um actually, nowhere in the question does it say through franchise making myself, and @ccggenius12 both technically correct. The best kind of correct. That means you're not just wrong. You're stupid.
Um actually Baby Mario and Mario appear alongside each other in multiple games which means they are different people. The question was not about Baby Mario, but Mario. Plus if you want to play it like that there's a time travel game that goes further in the past than yoshis island
@@hoopsiclemcgee4244 the whole point of mario and luigi parterns in time is that you play with all four of them because the babies come to the future. If baby mario and mario are in the same game, there is probably some time travel shenanigans afoot.
Um actually, a LOT of people were poisoned on The Wire. In the Episode "Hot Shots," Avon poisons an entire cell block. Later in the series, Bubbles also attempts to poison the man who keeps robbing him but accidentally poisons his friend Sherrod. Also, you could argue that anyone who is seen to use heroin on the show is also poisoned.
McNulty basically repeatedly gives himself alcohol poisoning throughout the series as well. Sometimes with Bunk. And don't forget all the people that get lead poisoning from injecting bullets into each other
Star Wars Holiday Special had Luke, but while Skywalker began his Jedi training under Obi-wan Kenobi, then continues under Yoda after Kenobi's death, Yoda declared Skywalker's training would be complete once he confronted Darth Vader. Luke Skywalker became a Jedi Knight when he finally faced Vader aboard the Death Star II in Return of the Jedi (1983). The Holiday Special was released in 1978 and Ewoks: The Battle of Endor was released in 1985, though it contained no Jedi. Note: I'm not actually a huge SW fan, I just did a few quick Google searches.
@@EliteCuttlefish Um actually, containing a potential Jedi doesn't count as actually being a Jedi. You don't call a high school graduate a doctor, just because he's going to medical school next. The crappy Ewok movie would be the first one.
@@KickyFut the holiday special came out first and contained a future jedi, Ewoks came out second and contains no jedi, future or otherwise, you are both saying Jedi in potentia should not count, you just confused the order of the films and which one contained Luke
@@OscatJ oh, the holiday special came out first... Ok, then yes it will be first... (Edit because of extra words) Unless Vader, being a *former* Jedi counts... I mean, using my previous example if you change jobs after gaining the PHD, you can still be considered a doctor... Even if not practicing...😕
Emily always seems to be the person least invested in doing well in any game she plays and it makes her such a great addition every time. Just so fun and funny.
Um actually, shrieking shack was accessible from hogsmeade ,people jist dont go there becouse they think it was haunted, from hogwarts was just seceret passage.
The way the question is worded, I thought it meant that the only way to get there from Hogwarts was the secret passage, not the only way to get there at all.
Yeah, I was gonna say this. You could just like, walk up the hill to the Shack, nothing was stopping you except rumors about it being haunted. Ghosts was dumb tho. If I were the author I would have had the Shrieking Shack be “full of demons, which all intelligent witches and wizards know to avoid”
Um, actually "Protoss" is not the name of the language spoken(figuratively, since they use telepathy) by the Protoss species. The name of the language is Khalani.
Um Actually, depending on the school of thought the tourniquet should be applied as high on the extremity as possible. Combat medicine and tactical medicine train this way. A tourniquet should usually be applied by trained personnel, as advanced care is needed. Also the time is generally a point of contention as previous schools of thought stated 4 hours max but it really depends on how quickly the patient can get to advanced care. If the spirit of the question is you are not able to get to advanced care then leave the tourniquet on as long as possible...otherwise pressure and get EMS started.
I really love the episode with Batman singing cuz Circe has him sing and Batman is in love with Diana and he sings his heart out and makes Circe cry and he thinks Diana didn't hear but when she transforms back she totally knows and I love it
Um actually, Myrcella Lannister isn't actually a "Lannister" by formal name/title she is Myrcella Baratheon and recognized as such publicly (even if she is a child born of incest which would then make her a bastard with the name of Hill)
Um actually, they fought directly in Partners in Time, but Yoshi was definitely doing all of the fighting against bosses in Yoshi's Island...and even then, Kamek was the instigator. Bowser had no role in the baby-kidnapping, and just wanted to ride the "gween donkey" that entered his bedroom while looking for Mario's brother.
Um, actually as a medical professional and former army, I can say that a tourniquet can safely stay on for more than 6 hours before any tissue damage occurs. Also you should apply the tourniquet high to the joint. For example on the arm near the shoulder and the leg, near the groin.
@@shortstac02 if Martin ever gets around to finishing the next book, it will be interesting to see where that part of the plot goes, since they messed it up so badly in the tv-series.
Um Actually you can also get in the Shrieking Shack through Hogsmead and they used the tunnel under the womping willow as a secret passway between Hogsmead and Hogwarts.
0:42 It seems like it might be due to editing cuts, but it's ironic that Emily points out that no one ever asks how Mike is doing, then immediately makes it about how she's feeling. xD
Um, actually, there is an argument that Mario's first canonical enemy is in fact bowser, or, more accurately, baby bowser, as we see him (riding on yoshi) battle baby bowser immediately after his birth in Yoshi's island.
This is part of the fan theory where the mario (jumpman) in "Donkey Kong" fighting the Donkey Kong who will become Cranky Kong is not the same mario from the super mario series.
@@Gamerboy0088 But that whole theory hits disbanded by Pauline being the damsel in distress in Donkey Kong, and then her reappearing in Odyssey, (and not being old as hell) meaning it’s the same Mario as well.
I got so excited when they asked about that Justice League Unlimited Moment where Batman had to sing. It’s one of my favorite moments from Justice League Unlimited, which is also my favorite superhero cartoon ever.
Um actually, if you sever a major artery (ex. Femoral, Brachial) you will want to apply a tourniquet (or cut off blood flow between the wound and the heart) because blood loss is so rapid that someone can bleed out in under 5 minutes (depending on how severe the injury is). This is particularly common in rescue, wilderness, and military settings where proper medical care may be hours away.
Um actually, there's multiple Marios and multiple Luigis. Only newest generation was raised by Yoshis. The rest are from Brooklyn, but went to the mushroom Kingdom while on a plumbing job
Wow I never thought this all thru, but if they were babies in Yoshi Island, whomever the bosses were in that game would technically be before Donkey Kong!😁
The Mouth of Sauron is not just a 'regular guy'. He's a Black Numenorean, which means that he is descended from the evil Numenoreans who ruled the start-shaped island after Sauron manipulated them into starting a cult to Melkor/Morgoth. The Corsairs are also technically descended from Numenoreans.
Um, actually, applying a tourniquet isn’t THAT dangerous. The worst thing would be not tightening the tourniquet enough and causing all that pain to your patient without having even stopped bleeding. Compartment syndrome takes a while to set in, and only medical professionals should be removing tourniquets anyways. An improvised tourniquet in an emergency is better than nothing or trying to handle a heavy arterial bleed with inadequate pressure. I’ve had tourniquets thrown on and left alone for literally and hour plus in training and other than it being really painful, I was fine.
Umm actually, while the only secret way from the Hogwarts to the shrieking shake is through the whomping willow tunnel you can technically just walk there... So badly worded that it is only accessable through the tunnel?
Um actually soccer does have a number of tie breakers. There is the golden goal, where additional time is added to the match at the end to give the opportunity for one team to score an additional goal breaking the tie; there is also the penalty shoot out where both teams take turns attempting to score on each other's goalkeeper. There is also the away goals rule in the Champion's League, where if the team is tied after two matches the team who has scored more away goals (goals scored not in their home territory) wins breaking the tie.
Um actually, in Game of thrones, while the two notable long farewell fatalities in the show are done by a fanservicy girl on girl smooch. The long farewell can also be administered through other means like into the bloodstream by a cut. It is first introduced in the show when Tyene Sand cut Bronn with her poisoned daggers, and gives him the antidote only when he says she's the most beautiful woman in the world (while also flashing him... which I'm sure the writers thought was ABSOLUTELY necessary for the story).
@@matthewtaylor2890 I haven't read POA in a while and you were indeed correct! Although I must say that for wizards it wouldn't be too hard to open boarded door/windows
@@kjdewitt Yeah the logic of that one never sat right with me, it shouldn't be hard to get in and the whole ghost thing just doesn't seem to make sense like they said in the show. I don't know why they didn't just soundproof a room in the castle tbh.
Maybe I'm misremembering but didn't the "Bothan Spies" just find out about the shield generator on the forest moon of Endor not the actual death star plans which would supposedly be rather similar to what they already had. Secondly isn't it also true that Palatine purposefully leaked the information so it's not really to the Bothan's credit.
Um actually, Rogue One is not the first Star Wars Film without a Jedi as a primary character. That title goes to the Star Wars Holiday Special. Luke does appear in the film but he is for sure a supporting character.
Um actually, it was not a film, it was a TV special. So, the first Star Wars film without a jedi as a primarty character would've been The Ewok Adventure.
@@JotaKaPF No, the first film without a jedi as primary character is A New Hope. Luke doesn't become a Jedi until he confronts Darth Vader in the Empire Strikes Back, thus isn't a jedi in the very first film.
@@2005702 That's not what a main character is. Obi wan is a supporting character, more specifically, he fulfils the role of the mentor for the main character. The story is about Luke's hero's journey, Obi Wan is instrumental in that story. A New Hope could have been framed as the story of an old hermit filled with regrets finding the strength to rekindle the heritage of his lost order and finally bring down his fallen apprentice. Even though this is something that happens, this is not what the story is about, is it? Neither is it the story of a disillusioned smuggler finding his heart nor is it the story of... wait, what was Leia's character arc again? Damsel in distress then vertex of a love triangle? ... That's underwhelming and I just made myself sad.
I’ve watched every single episode of this show but I’m still trying to figure out if this is them acting in a skit, or if they are being real, or the actors real self have merged together in said “quantum” state.
I didn’t like anyone on the cast of College humor until I started watching these, this is now one of my favorite RU-vid shows and game shows and I have started enjoying Trap
DC Pearson!!! Haven't seen him in a little while. Saw him do stand up with Donald glover in 2009. Major Derek comedy flashbacks. Old school college humor
Um actually a tourniquet is the go to, you can have a Tourniquet on for 2 hours, and cases have been documented of 24 hours without permanent damage to the limb, if you reasonably believe that you cannot reach a hospital within two hours, it is advisable to pack the wound with sterile gauze and apply pressure, however if the wound is on the neck or an area where a Tourniquet cannot be placed(armpit, groin, etc) excluding the abdomen and thoracic cavity, packing and pressure should be done instead, I advise that everyone should regular take first aid classes as medicine is constantly evolving, my sources are I am nremt certified and serve in the army as a line medic, if you show this in an episode, please change my name and picture
Pretty proud of myself for knowing the answer to the Batman question. It's been many months since I saw that episode but apparently it really stuck in my mind.😂
Um actually, you don't have to tighten a tourniquet until the bleeding stops- just until it slows. Your first step should be to apply direct pressure- ie a clean bandage or gauze, and then apply the tourniquet, if that doesn't work to stop the bleeding. Use a pen to write on the forehead- not blood. Blood can be wiped off during later care, thinking it's a possible secondary wound. A properly applied tourniquet can be left in place for up to 8 hours, with minimal or reversible injury to the lower body part. Remember, the objective is to save someone's life long enough for next stage care to arrive.
Um actually, Chris, I think they said that Hogwarts is in Great Britain, which includes Scotland, so they didn't actually say anything wrong in that regard.
believe it or not but writing down everything you did for the paramedics or doctors will be super helpful to them it lets them know what's wrong and what has already been done especially if for your own reasons you cant be there when they arrive
Um, actually, Rogue One was not technically the first Star Wars film without a Jedi protagonist. There were also the Ewok films, which, like Rogue One, weren't technically part of the main series, but took place in the same universe.
You are overcomplicating this issue with your "technically"... Being "part of the main series has nothing to do with anything. Just trying to look smart for attention I'd wager. Nice try idiot They didn't specify any certain canon or continuity...
