For me, nothing will ever top Zac’s “give me your teeth”. The knock before, the choice of words, the delivery, the little push and running away. Comedy perfection. Truly believe that man deserves an award for that bit
I was a around a lot of dogs in my life, but never ever did I hear a person say "speak" (or the equivalent in my native language) to a dog. @@starkravinglad8099
zac’s moose bit is always one of my favorites. i don’t know why, but the cut to sam, followed by his sentence being cut of by zac who now has antlers always gets me. it’s the height of comedy
@@abigailbliss9342*if I can pull a Brennan and over explain a bit* it’s because it’s such an involved commitment to sign up for a TV show to then treat it like it’s getting in the way of your day. Almost like showing up for your own wedding but parking in a 15 minute only spot lol
Brennan would never lose an opportunity to gain a point so comedy or not he absolutely has no idea how to make a dog bark and I'm pretty sure that was his first time talking to a dog
This is such an unnecessary thing to point out but it kills me every time I hear Brennan say moose are the last North american megafauna. NO!!!! THE BISON!!!!!!! THE BISON, BRENNAN
I love how it appears that Brennan had never interacted with a dog before that episode. Like, he knew of dogs, conceptually, but had never actually engaged with one up close until that moment.
Josh: Make the most random noises possible. Zac: can say the funniest shit in one line with best timing. Brennan: No one builds a funnier world with voices in less then 30 seconds
Josh is incredible at directly committing to whatever he's doing, and you see it all throughout his body and presentation. He's got an older style of comedy than Brennan and Zac, but it's a timeless kind of wit.
It’s such a good microcosm of all their comedy styles, Brennan world building, Josh perfectly imitating a sound of the phone, and Zac tying it all together with the one line
My lecturer said “then you will have a bad time” in his German accent today and it sounded so much like Josh’s giant businessman and I only just kept it together
I went to a restaurant where we genuinely had a sommelier who I assume had never tasted wine before. She was a very sweet teenage girl who kept forgetting her script and clearly didn’t know what any of the words meant, but she was trying her best. She actually made our night, it was really funny
I was hired as an "intern" at a 5 star resort last year (I needed to spend 3 months abroad and this was the quickest I could get) and they just put me in there as a full time waiter. I'm straight-edge, have never had wine before and they dead-ass made me recommend wines to customers because they didn't care. Our someliers were better trained, but those are not the one's you get to every table.
"Colonel Smith, who told you that you could bring pre-opened juice boxes?" "They said we could bring one personal item-" "NO YOU DON'T" I love that Brennan is so confident here, I would not be surprised that he actually knows the fact about whether NASA astronauts can bring personal baggage or not
@@Renbora232 Ah yeah, I put the timestamp a few seconds earlier to include Sam's setup of "That guy in the movie who's definitely about to be hit by a bus" for context!
12:23 “-The-The Weevil on The Steeple is,,Found Among *The People”* is my definitive favorite bit, not just for the words but the _flawless_ nervous pastoral delivery. delivery that makes me believe 100% that for one beautiful instant, Zac Oyama channels what it is like to be an elderly bug priest he is talking about bug church
- Brennan’s antiques roadshow dealer casually doing coke, as he is not the central focus of attention, - In New York~ - Brennan’s 100% Static NPC thomas jefferson with one pinprick of “fuck the monarchy” passing conveniently through him from Brennan - Brennan’s quicksand hands wingspan - Golf double handed summon attack / fireball / Zac’s knockout wiggles - (referring to juice boxes) “a lot of *them got out-“* - 12:15 hork but also larb / 12:43 the bathtub ghost chooses their moment to strike - Man Gets Left In Rainforest (and B-Side, White People Noise Machine) - Siren Sex Line includes interception from terrified grizzled sailor but how do I keep talking to him 👀 - shitty wifi bit 🤝 snapcube ytp mouth sounds
The moose bit is so perfect. The first 2 moo’s lay out where Zac’s going. The smash cut to the antlers and the THIRD moo is golden. Brennan’s question is icing on the cake.
Zac breaking the trombone and trying to save it with his own sound is, without hyperbole, one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life. I laughed until somebody asked if I needed help.
I've always loved Zac because he's able to perfectly craft a character that is basically just a guy acting normally and somehow make it the funniest performance.
these boys are definitely the only one's who continue to treat the game like a sound effect game vs just improve, they do it like none other and never cease to make me cry laughing!!
Everyone's pointing out Brennan and Zac but I got to give props to Josh for three major ones here: 1) the day at the zoo - holy crap, it starts simple at first but there's something with the animal sounds that end up building that scene so well that I don't know if Zac or Brennan could get across as easily with their comedic styles. 2) Thomas Jefferson's Hollywood agent (including a cameo from Ray Romano) - this is the sort of thing that Brennan does very well, but Josh gets into character here so damn well that he manages to do the rare thing and eclipse Brennan despite leaving him time to play with it. 3) the shitty wi-fi call - there's something brilliant in Josh's portion in particular for having the most glitched speech and managing to combine it with the hilarious facial expressions like his screen also is f*cked up. Zac gets in on the expressions a bit but don't get as strange, while Brennan's cuts are just a little cleaner than Josh's almost distorted speech.
I think I’ve worked out their strengths, outside of just “all” Josh: Impressions. People, animals, sound effects, any impression, he can do it. Zac: Comedy. Pure, unfiltered, making people laugh. Brennan: Characters and world building. Who’d have guessed?
Josh : King of creating the whole environment using sounds. Zac : Lord of physical comedy, being funny with the minute details. Brennan : God of creating worlds through his words.
2:09 actually Brennan, the silver grizzly bear is also a surviving species of North American megafauna. Never thought I would know something you didn't! Haha
Grizzly bears in general are surviving megafauna! So are muskox and caribou. (Look up "Life and extinction of megafauna in the ice-age Arctic"- it's a research paper). Also white-tailed deer, elk, and moose. Probably some others I'm forgetting. I think mountain lions also count? "Megafauna" is one of those terms that doesn't have a super strict definition after all, it's essentially just an animal that weighs over 100kg.
