We know that trauma lives in our tissues and the body has its own story to tell. In order to heal, one of the most powerful things we can do is move.

Join us as we engage in our Movement = Medicine #movementchallenge campaign which raises critical funds for women in recovery, while also displaying the importance of incorporating our bodies in movement.
We live in a world where only 10 percent of the 20.4 million people living with a substance use disorder receive treatment. Additionally, 1 in 5 women are living with a mental health issue such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or a substance use disorder. The greatest barriers to recovery for women include stigma and lack of accessible recovery support. We want to smash stigma and make change for recovering women and non-binary individuals everywhere by making recovery more accessible-and we need your help.
Movement=Medicine
We are going to be engaging our bodies, minds and spirits in intentional movement through 108 repetitions or 108 minutes of intentional movement. Why 108? In yoga the number 108 refers to spiritual completion and wholeness. The number 108 is a mathematical phenomenon that appears in nature, space, and throughout the human body. It connects science to the human mind, body and spirit-as does movement.
