At long last, the Update 6 patch has finally been released! Watch the RU-vid Short here that highlights some of the new additions: ru-vid.compznsOGyrGoI?feature=share Installation: 1. Update 6 must be installed first. 2. Install the patch to your GameData folder, replacing MovieDuels.x86 and both .dll files. The r_Update6Patch.pk3 should be inside the MD folder. 3. Jedi Outcast and TOTG S1 were also updated and required installing again (replace old .pk3s). Download the patch here: www.moddb.com/mods/movie-duels/downloads
I love this mod so much. I just love playing as Anakin, my favorite thing to do with him is flip over an enemy and do the backstab move. Almost gets them every time and it can even be followed up by a donkey kick if they block. 10/10 good combat, much more fun then lots of new games.
@@MovieDuels just a preferential choice. It makes it a little annoying when playing through JKO or JKA to have to hold an additional button to move faster or complete distance jumps because you have to turn off always run.
@@joshdavison6888 Maybe change your binds to make it more comfortable? For me to sprint I hold: W (move forwards) SHIFT (run) RIGHT MOUSE CLICK (manual block/sprint)
@@MovieDuels He's right lowkey. It's annoying having sprint and block (Two very different things) locked to the same keybind. If they were separate, it would still be possible to bind them both to the same key, wouldn't it?
Question, in my game, the difficulty in commands always reverts to hard, and (I think? maybe?) because of that, winning a saberlock is completely impossible no matter how fast I click (or are they just that hard now by default?)? Is there any way for me to put the difficulty on normal permanently? (And also fix the saberlock-thing?)
You are correct that the game difficulty affects saber locks. To win a saber lock, spam attack button and hold W or D so saber is moving is the winning direction. There are some menus that change it to normal difficulty, for example when you enter arena or challenge mode, but not hard. Unless there is some menu affecting this I am unaware off. You also set the difficulty when starting a mission, so make sure to select the middle option.
@@MovieDuelsOkay I'll try that w and d thing in the locks. What I mean with the difficulty thing, the menu is "Commands" in the pause menu (ESC), there is (I think top-right) a "Difficulty", which always goes back to hard. (Playing regular duel arena mode with spawned in enemies via npc summon to try the game out)
Keep up the fantastic work! When you have time, can you please make an option in which the JA Academy1.bsp is replaced with the Jedi Outcast counterpart? Thanks in advance!
Was a bit apprehensive with MD and MDA mode at first (been used to the original combat system from the vanilla game which Galactic Legacy retains) but you guys adding an instant-saber clash by holding the use key is a welcome addition.
This mod better than movie battles. Can’t do shit in that mod without people running up and your face and spinning like maniacs. You can’t smack them and it’s near impossible to perfect block them. Was movie battles always this way
Cutscenes in missions are created via scripting and would require you to download and learn the modding tools. This is a good place to start: jkhub.org/tutorials/mapping/single-player-mission-design-part-1-setup-and-commands-r158/ jkhub.org/tutorials/mapping/single-player-mission-design-part-2-your-first-cutscene-radiant-tutorial-r159/?tab=comments#comment-206 Alternatively, you could do it all ingame using the NPC commands menu and an editing program to create your own stories/videos. These videos might be helpful (you don't need to edit skin files, there is now a command to make yourself invisible): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wq5B51Ca7IE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZfK86BO8m3Y.html
I tested it and turns out it is not working after we reworked the dash mechanics. This video was recorded a long time ago so unfortunately you will have to wait for a fix.
