Incredible directing, but they should've taken the pen away from him in the sequel. The directing and fight scenes were still amazing, Pedro Pascal was a standout and Channing Tatum was great in the two seconds he was in it, but the script and story kept getting worse and worse as time went on.

Killing then softly had some of the most brutal and realistic but beautiful shooting scenes I’ve ever seen. Especially the shotgun one and drive by.

Technical question: are handlers like Diana also called agents because they’re employed by the ICA, or are only agents like 47 considered “agents”, because they work out in the field? I’ve only ever heard Diana being referred to as “handler”.

⁠@@timepiece_enthusiast All employees are agents, but not all agents are employees. Here, 47 and Diana are employees. 47 is called an agent because he acts on behalf of the ICA. Since his actions represent the ICA, he is an agent. Diana is called a handler because she handles giving contracts and details for her agent 47.

However, im not sure if she is just there out of chance, or she is still in contact with 47 because I think it’s when you find out she’s been doing something with providence or something idk

Toby Kebbel crushes it, especially in the last act when he traverses the housing projects like a battle zone, taking down gangsters with tactical moves and skilled shots, thus showcasing the great divide between professional and amateur.

I hate Brad Pitt but I appreciate the art of that shot, other than the fact, for all the CGI going on there, they didn't bother to fix the casings so they're not obviously blanks.

Imagine this being the first time seeing how Robert (from The Veteran) got shot given that it was a kid that killed him. THEN imagine you finding out that Robert was a literal one-man army who killed a lot of gangsters just to get to that point and the reason he died like that was because he was caught off-guard. A kid being a murderer can be terrifying. A one-man army in real life... O_O

I would Iike to point everyone towards Hardcore Henry, a first-person-shooter type of movie that actually shows a headshot from first person and you see the main character wiping the spatter from his eyes. Very nice detail and affect as well, a bit surprised it wasn’t on this top 10.
