Walmart closest to me has the steelbook section, but it has become a bit depleted and they haven't restocked it with anything knew. That store also has NO $5 bins at all anymore. But they do have end caps with cheaper movies in them, though the lower shelves are hard to check out. And their tv show section is still pretty good. Might have to check a couple of other Walmarts not far from my house.
I’m really impressed with their TV section. I’m glad they’ve been able to keep that alive. I haven’t purchased any shows in years, but I’m considering it. A lot of great releases out there.
Yeah, I wish I had the $5 bins that I’m seeing in all the other videos on RU-vid. I know I’d be picking up a handful Steelbooks. Hopefully it’s just a slow rollout and you’ll eventually get the steelbook section that other Walmarts seem to be getting .
Grimm turned out to be one of my favorite Tv shows of all time. They did an amazing job with it. If you haven’t seen that one yet. I highly recommend it man.
@@PureHangout The Savoy location had a steel book for The Creature From the Black Lagoon which I almost picked up. I may go back today to buy it. Not that I need it!! The collecting madness never ends...
Man I went to 2 Walmarts & one Target and I couldn't find The Iron Claw or Good Burger 2 at any of them. They did have the Steelbook section there but it wasn't well stocked. Great video man.
Aw man! I think they’ve been slow to put stuff on the floor. My stores have been anyway. You think Iron Claw would be a good Blind Buy? I’m thinking of picking that up during my next hunt if it’s available.
The Thing (2011) is a straight up prequel to the Carpenter film, tells the story of how the original base that they find in the Carpenter one got taken over. I did not like it but it has a very interesting and troubled history, worth looking into on youtube for sure!
@@hexyearhexyear I saw The Thing for the first time within the last 4 years or so. I’m mad I waited so long. I’d be interested in checking out the the prequel.
Great video ! Awesome to see the prices you guys have and what you have available. I bought the Hercules TV boxset recently from the states for 67 US ( 103 AUS) from Amazon with free shipping, so it was only an extra 17 US or 26 AUS which isn’t too bad. Thanks for the great video. I have Grimm to I’m keen to watch that I paid 82 US for ( (130 AUS) so it’s only an extra 22 US here as they had it for 59 dollars at Walmart - I get that shipping it here costs money so that’s okay. I just like to compare.
I remember really enjoying Hercules as a kid. It would air right after all the cartoons on Saturday mornings. I’d watch Xena on occasion too. I bet Hercules is a fun one to revisit
I’ve been having a really tough time trying to find LostGirl complete series on bluray. That’s one show that is really tough to find. And when I do find it it’s on those copies that don’t play in the USA. The only seasons they sell here at the 2 final seasons 5&6 lol I’m like ok why don’t they sell 1-4 also makes no sense. LostGirl was such a great show. Also have a tough time looking for one of my other favorite shows called The Finder. This is why I’m trying to buy every piece of physical copies of movies I can. Cuz then I wouldn’t have to have this problem anymore where I can’t find them lol
If you haven’t seen Migration yet you gotta see it with the family. It was a really good movie. Turned out better than I thought it was gonna be lol. It was good to where I wanna buy it on 4K for my collection lol 😂
@@PureHangout I think it was a combination of being in a quiet area, and the low talking close to the mic and going through movies which is something I like...totally wasn't expecting it... I wasn't even looking for ASMR... that happens sometimes... You just encounter it randomly watching a video.... I usually wear headphones when watching videos so that might be part of it... take care.
Nice video Derek! Walmart is not the first place to go to get blu rays. I honestly don't care for steelbooks, but I do get the appeal, especially for the artwork. Sorry that you did get anything.
It’s only the cover art for me. I actually find them really frustrating. They ding, dent, and scratch so easily, so I’m typically very picky with the ones I get. I have to really really love the art. If the art were on a normal case, I’d get that.
