It's not just exposure, at the time it was also illegal to release a book like this. Regarding the Riderback bikes at the start, it did cause me to raise an eyebrow too, but I did a little research and they were in production at the time, so they do actually fit.

That's awesome. I watched "The Erdnase Hunt" on RU-vid a while back and it was very nice. Would be very interesting and entertaining to watch a high production documentary about it.

I saw Lloyd and Kayleigh Barnes's excellent travel log when they went to the premier recently .As a magic newcomer I wasn't aware of the story but found it facsinating and wiil def try to catch this one .

If you've ever heard the song the gambler by Kenny Rogers you'd know why he didn't publish his name too. The book isn't just for magicians it's also for people hustlin by cheating at the card table. Thank you for the review you do a great job.

I enjoyed it for what it was. Thought Laura London was just a bit of filler, she only read it once, lol, they could have squeezed another aficionado in to give it more impact. Other than that, decent and worth a watch.

Erdnase wrote a second magic book under his own name in 1909.

Andrews was born Sep 10, 1847 in Sulford England. Died Jul 2, 1929. In 1902 he was living in NJ. The internet is not good for original research but is great for distributing info (and misinfo). His second book was published in 1908 not 1909 - I should have looked it up.

I agree with your comment on the red rider backs. I would say it was a continuity error. Because it broke the spell of enjoying the program. Also, please pick me for a mentalism trick.

@@magicorthodoxy I've read that only a kind of collector's edition is planned. Both, only rental and an expensive collector's edition is nothing I'm interested in. I like the way the guys behind "An Honest Liar" distributed their movie. But maybe they where just less into milking magicians than the guys behind this movie.
