I think Superstar Mario takes strength and durability. I mean he was able to crack open Bowsers Giant Fortress just by punching Bowser into it. He then proceeded to destroy Bowser’s fortress or at least a huge part of it. The impact was so powerful that it created a city sized shockwave afterwards. Not to mention, slamming yourself into a giant floating fortress at such a high velocity while also tanking fire (that could disintegrate a tower in mere seconds) and being able to walk away from that would definitely require some insane amount of durability. I haven’t seen Movie Super Sonic show any feats of strength like that so far, so I don’t think he takes those categories. That being said, I still think that Movie Super Sonic would win. Edit: So now I’m learning that in the novelization that Sonic and Knuckles managed to collapse the Master Emeralds temple when they collided so it turns out that Sonic is pretty strong. I still think Mario is stronger but not by much.
Actually, Super Sonic should be superior to the electricity ability from Sonic, which was powerful enough to disable pretty much all technology on the planet, including a station in space, which, when calculating the feat, is about mountain level so via scaling, Super Sonic should destroy and Sonic with just his electricity should be able to take down Starman Mario as it only lasts for about a minute and at best, gets to large building level thanks to scaling to Bowser's flame that destroy a castle but that's trillions of times weaker then that feat performed by Sonic's electricity. Plus, even if we say that Starman is completely invincible, which is never actually stated in the movie, Sonic would speed blitz, and the transformation only lasted for about a minute.

Sonic generated that power from his speed, not his strength. I’m specifically talking about strength. I also think that a feat like that would go in the power category rather than the strength category.
I know you mentioned that, and I know that, but Sonic still had enough power from his speed to do that so it should still count for strength and even if we don't count that, then their equal as Super Sonic pushed the giant Eggman robot which is huge so they should at least be equal in that area.

I like the video, but a couple notes mario shroomed up should maybe win Strength, but that's debatable, but I think he absolutely wins durability in all forms, the amount of hits from dk and Bowser that would Splat, let alone kill, a regular human is definitely up there. Star likely beats super sonic, it's actively referred to as invincible several times, meanwhile eggman and the echidnas prove the emeralds are no instant win mechanic.

Although I don't know why you mention that Mario is stronger for resisting a giant explosion, since that is more than a feat of Strength it is a feat of resistance.
