@@fyreleomh1896 100% agreed yes. I like that the tone was a bit darker as well but it took away from the campiness that fits Nicolas Cage's personality so well.

I personally liked Max Steel. Not sure why and how it did poorly. In fact, i know quite a few people who also liked it so I'm not sure what the issue was with it underperforming at the box office. In terms of the Flash, I liked that movie as well. I didn't pay attention or care about the personal controversy surrounding Ezra Miller and was able to enjoy the movie. I don't believe that one actor's personal issues should derail an entire film that was made through the efforts of a whole cast and crew.

I agree about the morbious movie. There are some parts of it that could have been done better perhaps but all in all I quite enjoyed the movie. Haven't seen the flash movie yet so can't comment on that 1.

Imma update you real quick on this and answer your question. Nobody is encouraging "hate and bigotry". 1: criticism, disagreement, disappointment or any form of annoyance with someone is not "hate" I see so many morons ( subjective, but not hateful) who toss out buzzzwords like "bigotry, hate, racism, sexism, yiddi yiddi yadda yadda" while at the same time putting themselves on a pedestal in their own heads. But if either of these people bothered to actually be honest with themselves and dare to form any kind of critical thought and make sure that they use words they thoroughly understand, then you would find that a lot of online conversations would end up being far more civilized than "I do not like your view, BIGOT BIGOT BIGOT!!!! REEEEE! DO NOT TALK BACK THAT IS HATE! DO NOT SAY I AM WRONG THAT MAKES YOU A NAZI!" It is honestly quite pathetic honestly. And no, harsh words do not equal hate either. 2: lot of these film makers and directors today have no love or care whatsoever for the movies they produce, or rather, they do not care about any source material, previous installments or its fans. They see the movies and series as an opportunity to toss in their own egocentric agendas, spewing toxicity towards critics who dare call them out on their arrogance warpath and as a means to do weird self inserts where they rather change set characters to fit their own narrow thinking rather than endulging in the franchise, getting to understand and learn about the characters and see the reasons as to why some things are the way they are and maybe have some passion to create an interesting and entertaining story. Some of which have even admitted they do changes to cater to a so-called "modern audience" as they say it and sometimes even spew shit like "hey original fanbase of [enter franchise] this new entry to it is NOT FOR YOU! if you watch it and do not like what we have done to the franchise you love, TOO BAD! SUCK IT!" Then afterwards they wail about how the old fanbase is so bigoted for not practically worshipping their egocentrically directed product. 3: People asking directors to respect the franchise they have had handed to them and that asking them to please acknowledge the source material pre-existing prior to their overtaking of said franchise is not people "stuck in a box" nor is it bigoted. Examples to this. Triss Merigold in the Witcher franchise, great actress but she was given the wrong role. Now people would respond to that with "uuuugh!!!! RACISM!!!! REEE! INTOLERANT NAZIS" and whatnot. No, it was people asking to honor previously established content and that rather shoehorning her as Triss for DEI reasons. Why not instead create a new character to have said actress portray? It is not bigoted or hateful regardless how people try to squeal that out. It is simply a plea to honor pre-established content. If their excuse would be "oh there weren't any darkskinned people in the Witcher so we had to replace someone to get it in" it would be a total lie, as Zerrikanians were literally just that, then you got Ofier which is more Arabic like. However Triss was Temerian. When you make content from a franchise with established lore, characters or otherwise existing content, changing it to fit a narrative not only push original fans away it also opens a room for toxic bullshit both between trolls who want to stir shit and deluded people who's only ability in life is to be offended on other peoples behalf and scream "far right, nazis, racists, bigots" etc. non stop and not contribute anything to the discussions, which in turn pushes the last few fans both old and new ones whom happened to either not mind the changes or have no insight in previously established characters. People would react the same if you had some pudgy white guy portray Blade. And what about Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia? How is criticism to that not hateful then, when it is the exact same reasoning behind the criticism?
