Happy 8 million subs GameRanx, huge shoutout to Jake and the Birdman Falcon for all their hard work and those in the background that aren’t in front of the camera often.
@@jamesclancy2688True that. Even though some aspects of something as awesome as a dream job will always seem tedious and not as fun, it’s all worth it, the job being as awesome as it is over all makes it worth it.
SF is a PlayStation classic .. its what Golden Eye was to the N64…The aim of the “baddies” in the first level is ridiculous in and of itself … they can run right up to you be standing right next to your head and still miss! It was hilarious😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Once in Just Cause 4, I strapped like 8 or 9 balloons to a tank I stole, but didn't have unlocked yet. Why, you might ask? So I could fly it from the island I found it on, over a literal ocean to the mainland, and use the main cannon as the propulsion. Took like 1.5hrs to get it over that vast sea, but totally worth it.
The funniest thing about Arkham Knight was the non lethal mini gun rounds Batman would shoot at criminals. Even stretching the non lethal nature of Batmans arsenal cannot explain away big ass bullets not killing everything he aimed them at.
Number 5: the hit&run I believe it's electromagnetic pulse that is discharged when the enemies are close to the car so technically they are not "hit" by the car, but they are pushed away and knocked out by the electromagnetic field, therefore Not lethal xd
First real ragdoll physics I experienced were in skate 3. People loved how silly it was to fuck yourself over doing tricks in that game, and my 12 year old mind understood why
@vjjames5769 You can play it or just simply download it if you have a PSPlus membership.. They really give you a ton of great games to play or own on there.. I did Tha premium one tho but it's Def worth it for 12 months man.. You won't never get bored or run out of things to play!!
Every weekend I get up at 4am, make myself some coffee and yoghurt mixed with oat flakes and biscuits. Then I watch video from Gameranx and then I play video games for the rest of the day.
@@Trispefear Lol, my line of thinking ended at "probably doesn't work" 😅 I see I misread the comment as they specified weekend routine, not daily routine.
I think Simon the Sorcerer makes a joke about that in the game with that name, when he puts a large ladder in his inventory. Old as hell but shows that this has always been a subject in dire need of scientific examination.
I got the 3rd one as a kid but it was an error and put in a triple disc case and the art matched it was pretty funny I bet it would be worth something now
@@GS-xv7egI’m yet to finally play 3 and 4, are they at least half as fun as 2 is? Being a 12 year old kid and playing 2 for the first time was simply incredible :3
“You haven’t lived until you’ve killed someone with a teddy bear”. The mechanics behind Fallout 4’s Junk Jet would be extremely improbable in real life, but I’ll be damned if the irony of killing a raider with a life preserver isn’t hilarious.
Oh my god that tazer in Siphon Filter was making me laugh so hard I teared up 😂 Watching a guy get sniped by a tazer and bursting into flames had me rollin' hahah. How were the developers not laughing their asses off when they made that?? 😅
Jumping on cars is actually great. A small skill thing you can do in dying light. If you can control your character perfectly then you dont get any damage and if you don't then you die and loose a ton of survivor points. So its a cool mechanic imo
I remember in Postal 2 there was another kick-related mechanic. If you found the sniper rifle, and aimed down the sights at full zoom, when you kicked, you would still see your character's leg kick out while zoomed in. I don't recall if it actually still hit things, but it was hilarious to go into something like x10 zoom and see your foot come out like you'd stretched your leg like Dhalsim. I think it also worked when you unzipped your trousers to pee as well.
I wish you guys would do what your describing more sometimes. During the Hulk game you mentioned jumping off a tall building and throwing a civilian into the ground. I was waiting for it thinking it would look hilarious but it didn't show. Then in Just Cause you mentioned breaking your fall with the tether, then proceed to use a parachute before tethering. I thought it might show up later on and it never did. Otherwise great video as always but yeah just these small things.
I'm so happy to see a siphon filter game on the channel. And it hit #1 ❤. There was a multiplayer map that was nothing but geometric lines and its still to this day one of my favorite map ideas.

Well, you are correct for Dying Light 1...most of the buildings ARE way shorter, but one of the pylons (or is it towers? i don't know what they are called) is tall enough to jump off from it and get to terminal velocity. I am talking about the main bridge in the game, the one that part of it is destryed and there is a lot of water under it. And to stay on the subject, if you jump off and get to terminal velocity... you hit the surface of the water without at least getting a broken bone or something? 🤣🤣🤣 In reality if you hit the water with terminal velocity, you are dead, capout, the end, fenito la musica. How come in the game, the character doesn't get any damage?😆😆
9:58 In Midnight Club the pedestrians would always try to dive out of the way, but it wasn't too hard to hit them if you tried. But by the time Midnight Club 3 rolled around it seems somebody thought that that was a little too graphic for an E10+ racing game, so they not only gave all the pedestrians superhuman reflexes so that they almost always manage to get out of the way, but even if you do manage to hit them by going at insane 300+ mph speeds, you just go right through them. They have no hitbox.
Yeah the Batmobile thing always cracked me up. Its apparently like a force field sheild so you never actually hit anyone with the car.... but getting hit by a force field going 80mph would still knock your skeleton outside your body, you just wouldn't put a ding the Batmobile with your skull.
0:56 i makes some sense because it's a thin sheet of metal compared to at least a few feet of concrete. The concept makes sense, just not the execution.
That NPC hulk picked up at 8:10 has to be based off Tommy Vercetti from GTA:VC. The brown hair, tan skin, the baby blue collared shirt with "black print"(palm trees), blue jeans, and white shoes. No way that isn't a reference.
The thing to remember with the Master Chief or any Spartan in HALO is that they are bio-engineered Super Soldiers who make Captain America look like a lightweight. They are then encased in performance-enhancing power armor. So, the vehicle flipping isn't as stupid with them as it would be with other characters.
The Far Cry one reminds me of Mario 64's health system. You could be on your last sliver of health from enemies and jump in some water. Resurface and you'll go back to full health.
The flip mechanic from Halo is even crazier in Borderlands. Because when you flip a vehicle, you can send it flying. They let you do this in case you got a vehicle stuck somewhere, so you could flip it and send it flying to get it out of a pit or something. So there's this fun thing you can do where you knock your vehicle upside down on purpose next to a wall, flip the vehicle, then quickly get inside the vehicle, which will send you flying over the wall. You can use it to bypass security checkpoints to get places without properly shutting down the security checkpoints first. You can even get outside the normal game map to areas that aren't complete. Often there will be roads with nothing around them and if you leave the road you'll just fall off the map. Fun stuff.

Come to think of it, one way to avoid drowning in Skyrim is to have enough food/health potions to keep your health bar from getting too low. Also, games that make your health bar go down while drowning: Skyrim Fallout (FPS/RPG series) Minecraft (including Story Mode)...
12:43 "Why'd you strap rockets to that cow?" "Why did you Siamese two enemies together on an explosive barrel‽" "Why did you explode that entire oil refinery‽‽" ...... "Just 'cause...."
When I jump off the tops of skyscrapers I like to land inside metal trashcans, and it usually saves me a trip since theres usually some burger king already inside.
I feel like "JRPG"'s in general should've gotten at LEAST an honourable mention. Why? "OH NO! This being wants to become a god and destroy existence!!!" "Ok, no problem, lemme just go do 5000 sidequests. Brb"
Pedestrians that jump out of the way and you CANNOT hit them? Have you ever played Driver (Or Driver 3 can't remember. I never get it right. The one where you have to do all those stupid maneuvers in the parking garage in under 3 minutes before unlocking the actual game which literally nobody did) on PS1? Yeah you cannot hit pedestrians. They run or even teleport out of the way. But I agree that one of my favorite things to do in driving games is to cause utter chaos. My absolute favorite thing to do in GTA Vice City was to get a Rhino tank and run up and down that long road on the west island that runs parallel to the coast running over everything I could. People. Cars. Trash bins. Mailboxes. Street signs. Benches. Lamp posts. EVERYTHING! If I had put all the time I spent doing that into, I don't know, college, I'd probably have 2 PHDs by now. It's fun to do with the "Gruppe Sechs" armored car but the thing is locked half the time and you can't get in. Besides, you can turn the turret around on the Rhino and continuously fire backwards to get up to turbo speeds! Ah the good old days! Now I work all the time. And pay bills. And buy Games on Steam I'm never gonna play. Stay young kids!
Can you fix the aspect ratio for hulk ultimate destruction? That game is too good to allow it to be stretched. And both Xbox and GameCube support widescreen natively. Good video otherwise…but, I’m really down on aspect ratio issues. Like, if I had a RU-vid channel it would probably be about aspect ratio fails…it’s an OCD thing for me.
Look when you've got that much iron shrapnel in your body, it'll rust. You know what rusting is? A reaction with oxygen! So if you pull out the shrapnel you've got more oxygen left for breathing. It's SCIENCE!
