HELPFUL TIP TO ADD-- YOU WANT TO RAISE THE LEG/FEET AREA OF THE HOSPITAL BED TOO. JUST PUSH THE BUTTON TO ELEVATE THE LEGS UP AND THEN IT WILL BE EVEN EASIER TO MOVE THE PATIENT.

Ah, just learning about the slide sheet! As to mom pushing herself up the bed with bent knees, her feet slip on the sheet, even with rubbery-bottom socks. Hoping you may have a suggestion there.
As the reply below... a sheet may not be thick enough to prevent sweating and it definitely depends on the individual patient - some perspire a lot and others not so much.
