Been in the US 3.5yrs now and cant wait to go back. Africa is the most tranquil, serene place. Africans dont even know that their air is fresh as hell, food is safe and healthy, people actually talk to each other unlike in developed countries. And that “talking” is a free mental health stabilizing program that Africans will never understand or appreciate , and one that White people will never appreciate because they don’t see it. Only Africans who have lived in both worlds understand.it is so deep. So deep.

I moved to the village from Nairobi, stayed there 1yr 3 months. I had a wonderful time. free water, free solar, free food, free house, family relation, fresh air, time for planting, time for weeding, time for harvest which is controlled by God, had a lot of free relaxation time. family bonding, community bonding. its was great. Moved back to Nairobi because of malaria. But going back again! Village is God's economy.

You articulate your reasons very well. My 3 siblings split their time between Kenya and the U.S but definitely enjoy a higher quality of life in Kenya. They're in careers that enable them to do that. This will make their transition back to Kenya very smooth. I on the other hand work for the government and get very little time off, so I don't spend much time in Kenya. I also developed numerous health issues after contracting covid 5 times, so I have to be in the U.S so as to receive the care I need. I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place. I could easily afford to live in Kenya since I have properties there, but my health makes it impossible.

Of course there is plenty to appreciate abroad but there is also huge societal issues I can't ignore. I want to return because there is nothing like home, culture is a huge factor, and I also want to take part in growing my country. Luckily I've fallen in love with another African that shares my mission to return. I've even convinced her that Kenya is the place to be. Saa hii anajaribu kujifunza Kiswahili. Too many near misses or medical errors without ANYONE being held accountable. My 10yr was born with one ear. Did a surgery here in America and also had a few things going on while in the NICU. I wonder kama my boy would have a 2nd ear and hearing on one of his ears had he been in Kenya. Wacha nikae America. The financial grass is greener, what abt the medical part of it given that u are getting older and the body is getting weaker too...wacha nikue lame by retiring in U.S. Good luck. YOU LIVE ONCE.

I moved back to Nairobi but not to a village I don't have a village to move back to. I was born in Nairobi but my old neighbourhood is destroyed full of high rises and all neighbourhood childhood friends have left /driven out mostly in diaspora and unfortunately several close friends have passed away. I tried to live outside Nairobi and hated it.Friends wise I found it difficult to make new friends trying to relate to people who have mostly never left Kenya. Also as a single woman I did not feel safe and the attitude of men was just annoying. I also did not like the frustration of getting even simple things done. Dealing with a corrupt system is soul destroying. The power cuts became boring and yes there is family but they can be too much. I realised I liked my freedom in the UK and cherished the diversity of my friends. For those who have villages to go to then it makes sense. For Nai born and bred it is just exchanging one rat race for a polluted, chaotic other rat race.

You are doing a GOOD thing. I was born from a Caribbean Island and came to the US and was raised there. The point you make in regards to your children and how they're American but their culture is Kenyan is VERY real. The other thing is that when it comes time for them to get married, that will speak a lot to who they can choose to marry. For those children who grew up like this, it's very hard to find a mate who shares similar values. While I love to see diverse cultures here in the US, I understand where you're coming from. I wish I could go home but that "home" for me is different. I don't know what part of Africa I would go back to ... and my current home country is in shambles. :(

But going and living out of our countries 15:16 15:16 15:16 15:16 15:16 enables us learn more about life, learn new skills that we can implement in our countries if and when we decide to to come back and lastly we are able to appreciate our own countries and may also suggest improvements in governance of our own countries. I'm African American living in Africa. I know the States very well. I think you are making a very good choice. The States is not a good place for families and believe me it is about to be much worse. You might consider a additional plan for an earlier emergency quick exit if necessary. I also lived in Long Beach on PCH when in college.Blessings

My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to larysa Caba, my portolio is doing really great and im proud of the decisions i made last year.

I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.

I have never seen a trader as open and transparent as Larysa Caba with her clients. The way she decides to make a profit for her clients. she allows you to express your fears and she still rests your fears and that is my respect. Upon all the lectures, make sure you have something concrete to live on and do if you relocate to home country else life could be more depressive. Take it easy! One step at a time and also consider the type of education you want for your kids. Above all, be more prayerful and avoid comparisons.

The things mnaandamana for are things we are already taxed for in the US. The cost of living in the US has risen so sharply after COVID, same as Canada and Europe. You guys think its just Kenya but we already experienced that and even if you switch presidents, it wont solve it because your currency depends on US dollar , and if our costs have risen unbearably, so shall yours. But do what you can. Exercise your rights. At least you will say you tried
