In this video we get ready to move camp. After 2 weeks dispersed camped in Pima County, Arizona we head into the city to resupply and wash clothes. We spend a night in a parking lot at Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona. Then we head to Las Cienegas National Conservation Area. I find a nice camp under 2 giant oak trees. My Wiley shows up and we do some exploring on the jeep roads. Finish off with a camp cooked meal and campfire.

*My name is Brian. I started living full time in a self built camper van in 2014 in my hometown of San Diego, CA. I hit the road full-time in 2015 to pursue seasonal work and travel around the U.S. I find free camping on public land and enjoy photography, hiking, biking, and kayaking in nature. Glad you made it down here! We live an hour southeast of Las Cienegas. We're still in awe after 30 years living here that there's savannah-like grasslands, giant oaks, running water and snow-peaked mountains in the Arizona desert! Just some of the 'hidden secrets' that make southeast AZ spectacular.

Also, there was a jaguar named El Hefé spotted multiple times east of there, but disappeared in 2017. Was then sorted again back in Mexico and just recently (2023) another jaguar was spotted in those mountains to the east of Empire Ranch. They also re-introduced the prairie dogs about 10 years ago and the population seems to be doing well. Happy camping!

Thanks Brian. I too am out boondocking in AZ in winter , I seem to be slave to warmth so I tend to stay in Yuma area but those two spots look great. And yes I have a good friend who had a special needs dog. Great dog just very sensitive,no abuse, he got him from a good breeder as a pup but some pups just need a little more care. ❤ thanks for vids always feel the zen flow after I watch. 🙏

Las Cienegas is awesome. This is where we had Christmas❤ On the west side of 83 is Kentucky Camp. A ranger told us there was good spots over there. We didn't check it out, but thought I'd pass u the info.
