We are finally moving in!!! We didn’t get everything done before we moved in, but close enough:). Everything went well and we had some great friends to help us with the bigger items. Shortly after getting settled in, one of the toilets started leaking in the basement, so that was a fun project to figure out how to replace a toilet! Good times:)
Finally got the ceiling and walls closed up, that was quite the process that we decided to hire for. Drywall is a mess!
In between the projects we are enjoying our new space and still finding time to get outside and enjoy the mountains:).

I’m stalking your channel now that I’ve discovered your awesomeness! May I ask how much you paid for your house and what you do for jobs? We bought ours for $137,000 almost seven years ago and are thrilled to be paying it off soon. We have four kiddos and work full time, so daycare has stolen so much of our cash over the years!

HI! I am so sorry for the delay on the reply, since buying our house it's been a bit crazy with finishing the re-model and getting settled in. Gary works as a software product manager and I have been a stay at home mom for 6 years, I decided to stop working after the first child because of the cost of child care being so high, I would have been working just to pay for it, so financially it made more sense for me to stay at home with them, which I have loved. Our house was pricy, $390K, we still have plans to pay it off, but it's going to take some work! That's so awesome that you are going to pay yours off! Such a great achievement so few strive for, but the freedom is worth it! Let me know if you have any other questions, I will try and be quicker on the reply. Good luck in your journey!

@@SchroederRanch, thanks for sharing the information! How wonderful to have been able to be a stay at home mother. daycare really is so expensive. That has been what has made it the most difficult for us to FIRE over the years! Best of luck to your family!
