bye bye Pattaya and Hello Rayong..... new chapter in L&L's life .... shame you moved but hope we can catch up when we come back to the "not too busy" Darkside in October ... yeah I admit crossing the railway line can be a bit of a pain but just go outside the busy times and it is much easier... Rayong is nice and I am sure you both will have a blast... keep up the vlogs (missed not seeing your sunday one last week). Ask your kiwi mate "What part of Oz are you from?"... it is always good to see steam coming out of Kiwi's ears when I ask them that

Greetings from Chicago! Thailand bound with family in July (Bangkok, Ko Samui, and Khon Kaen). With airfares, etc., it’s a small fortune but will make memories of a lifetime so well worth it.

You lasted much longer in Pattaya than I expected. When you left Bangsaen I expected you to be fed up with the place within a year or two. Mind you, a couple of quiet years over Covid probably helped extend the stay.

looks like you have picked a nice quiet spot to make home , good on you , I went to Bang Saray about a month ago and found it a absolute winner compared to Pattaya , think that's where I'll be making home when I move over

Got back from a month in Thailand a few months ago and spent a day passing through Rayong and stopped at a restaurant for a great seafood lunch overlooking the beach. Not the crowds or traffic like in Pattaya or Bangsaen, so next time my wife and I go back to Thailand, we will spend a week in Rayong exploring the area.

Yeah Lucus, i just moved as well, bought a house out by mabachan lake, nice digs. Just finished the bhuddist ceremony, and still trying to complete the move from my old house. If your interested in doing a video on cheap rentals ( 2 bedroom townhouse) in central pattaya near big c extra. Let me know, i think the landlord is going to rent for 10k monthly on 1 year contract. yes of course a lot of us want to live in thailand, It's finding a way to make money there or to come up with enough money to sustain a living there which is the problem

I first came to Thailand 4 July 1972 with the USCG...Lol...A couple of weeks after that...I knew this would eventually be my Retirement home someday......Cheers

Congratulations on the move. It is always a little hectic. I have moved 7 times in the last 15 years living in asia. The LTR visa is a good choice if you plan to live in thailand long term.The food looked great! I think Rayong is a good place to live so I wish you lots of happiness. The beach looked peaceful. The actual 'moving' part is the important part. As for unpacking, once you find your essentials the rest can take it's time.

Lucas, I didn't know that you were in Thailand 30 years ago. I first came to Thailand about 25 years ago right around the time when the Asian Tigers nations had their financial crisis. The Thai baht was about B45 to $1 US. It was a great time, and right then I fell in love with Thailand. I am in my mid 50s now and retired in California. I'm one of those few guys who paid off his house and worked at a job that gave me a traditional pension for the rest of my life. The only reason I am not already in Thailand is because I can afford living in California and it seems so chaotic in Thailand now. Rayong reminds me of the old Thailand from 25 years ago.

It must have been tough but I guess somebody had to hold the camera while the ladies put stuff on the truck! 😅 What a beautiful feeling that you are in fact home and so close to the beach and that you don’t have any deadline to get back to anywhere else.
