Welcome to "Tales from Tuscany"!
We are Marisa and David, Australian expats now living part-time in Chianni Tuscany.
During the Global Pandemic, we decided to buy our Italian dream home, sight unseen and with no prior knowledge of the area.
This is our journey and we are taking you along with us!
TODAY'S VLOG...
Moving forward from last week's disasters, I am looking at new opportunities and finding. my way naturally into the real estate world, as many ask me to help them for guidance.
It's a fun and exciting prospect and this week I do my first home inspections with some lovely people from the UK.
I also get in touch with nature and enjoy exploring new parts of Chianni with friends, as well as some lovely social events and evenings out.
My bedroom plans and ideas come to fruition and I add to my collection of lovely "antique and vintage" finds.

Sickness occurs, but it serves as a reminder to us to be careful with our bodies. Springtime is a confusing season in terms of whether it is warm or cold, so it is best to wear heavy felpa o golf when going outside and to cover the neck tightly, as it is easy to develop a sore throat when cold air passes by. Consider how the locals dress up when going outside; you may encounter an Italian who will ask you whether you are comfortable with your clothes on, given that you are wearing a light dress and may become ill. I adore how you described our mother Italia, loving every moment of dolce vita that Italia may offer us regardless of our status in society and in life. Being kind to others or helpful will be granted in a way of having comfortable easy everyday living. Every morning, the birds serenade and waking me up to tell me that a bright day awaits me today, and our plants and flowers in the garden remind me that I'm a beautiful creature. What a kind and lovely message @boytiti that's so lovely of you. I'm taking extra special care of myself and making sure I'm warm and cosy at all times. I'm afraid the stresses that I encountered after my arrival simply made me very rundown and susceptible to illness. Now I'm mending and feeling much better again...as soon as the sun returns I'll go for my lovely walks in the glorious nature once again. Grazie di vero cuore 🥰🤗💗🙏

Stress wreaks havoc on the body and you’ve had more than your share recently. I hope you can make yourself a nice cup of tea with honey and lemon. The wild flowers, David’s beautiful bouquet and your own balcony greenery and blossoms are lovely. Feel better soon dear Marissa🥰

Buongiorno Judith...That's exactly what I've been doing several times a day...lots of local pure honey with lemon and hot water, plus vitamins and today my neighbour. gave me a special inhaling machine which they say helps immensely. They are medical staff! I'm so grateful to have them next door! I'm sure I'll be much better in no time...thank you so much for caring 🥰🤗😘☺💛🙏🍋🍊🫖

I’m so sorry to hear that you got sick, I hope you feel better soon. The best thing to do is mash some garlic with olive oil and lemon juice and a little bit salty taste and dip some bread in there and eat that that would get rid of, your laryngitis, hopefully it’ll work. Also have some hot tea with lemon juice and honey!! I’m always loving watching your episodes, I think I am now addicted to your episodes, I love your day today, life in Italy videos. I love the nature, I love your house. I love your taking us around the town in the spring. I love everything about your videos. Thank you for sharing. This gives me dreaming to somehow get to Italy one day and stay. For the foreseen future I can only go three months at a time that’s when I’m free,but in the meanwhile, I will go on vacations to Italy until I can go for a longer stays.!! I was hoping we could see your bathroom! Your crown withe embroidered sheer curtains is lovely!😊 That large green bottle/vase is so so cool! And I love your little olive tree!! It really is quite a bower walking through your street there! And I would walk often on that park in the middle of you town!!! How beautiful! And yes, what lovely, pretty flowers you found! What are their names? It looks like you picked some rosemary too. 😊Working with plants always makes me happy too I usually have a big garden. I can't this year though. 🥲🥲 Awww... Buongiorno! I'm so glad you're enjoying the vlogs and fin ding them interesting! I love big gardens too and have lived in the country as well as the city in many places, so living here makes me feel like I'm living in a huge garden...Tuscany! As soon as I leave my little house I'm surrounded by nature and it makes me happy! The flowers are all wild flowers and I don't know the names of them all...we do see wild alliums, poppies, cornflowers, broom, wild roses, camomile plus loads more! I'm still in bed with a raging cough and still no voice but feeling a little brighter as I've started top sleep through the night which really helps. I so look forward to your videos. I'm so happy to find out Italian washing machines have a pizza setting. We love pizza and will definitely be using that setting a lot someday in Italy. LOL! Awww thank so very much for your kind words! I'm being as strong as I can possibly be and I know I'll be better very soon! Yes, the cantina is our ground floor and is part of our home but it has that lovely arched entrance that you see when you look at the front of the house. One day we hope to make a lovely usable space down there. You've got to love a machine with pizza and pasta settings right? LOL Just love Italy 🥰😍🤗❤🍕
