Tales From Tuscany was born from LOVE...love for my father's birthplace Italy and LOVE for my new "amore", my husband David, who I married in July of 2023.
As a writer, I have always loved to share my passions for creativity, art, words, music, movement and travel.
Many of you may remember me from my adventures in France and my best selling memoirs ... well since then, my life has taken major detours!
At over 60, and during the global pandemic, I embarked upon this extraordinary Italian adventure with my beautiful love, David and together we will show you that anything is possible if you just dream, have courage and follow your passions, no matter what.
So join us on our new "passion project" deep within the Pisan Hills of Tuscany and beyond!

Ciao, Marisa and David! You found your soulmate - happy 1st anniversary❣ May you always be happy and stay healthy! Always with affection and respect; ❤ from Sabine🇦🇹
Happy Anniversary, Marisa and David. The year has flown by. I hope you had a good time, regardless of the weather. I have been to Bourton a few times a very long time ago, and the weather was sunny and warm, which really does make a difference. Enjoy the rest of your break. Thank you for sharing. Sending hugs 😊❤❤ 💐 🎉
Ciao Janet and thank you so much for your lovely wishes. Oh how lovely for you… we really haven’t been spoilt with the weather but we make the most of every day and love our time here all the same. Sending love 🌸🥰💖
Thank you so much Valerie! I’m trying to move about more but yesterday I pulled the torn muscle behind my knee slightly, so I’m back to resting it today. It’s a slow process with 3 years to manage! Thank you for your lovely wishes! Sending love 🌸💖🥰💋
Another wonderful video !! You chose such a perfect little town to celebrate your first anniversary. Having that beautiful waterway running throughout the whole town really adds to the ambiance and scenic quality. You have captured it all for us and I do appreciate it,
Beautiful & brought back so many memories. Must take Toni there! Those holes in the walls are there to house support beams/poles for erecting scaffolding (I think). Loved that Mini covered in greenery outside the motor museum 👍♥️. Ps. Loved today ❤❤
Aww that's so great Phil. Oh yes you must take Toni ...she'll love it and probably love the shops too I think! ☺Thank you for the explanation of the holes...very odd. I thought of Pigeon holes oddly enough! We loved today too...lots of lovely laughter and great conversion! 🥰🤗😍😘😘😘
GOOD EVENING everyone! We'd love to know if you've been to the Cotswolds and if so, which village you loved the most? We have filmed a lot of diverse places and still have many to share with you! At the very end, I will reveal which was my favourite but for now, let's enjoy the very beautiful Bourton on the water, together! 🥰🤗
@@anouksophia7399 oh how lovely Anouk! I’ll be back soon myself as our English trip is drawing to an end. Thank you so much for watching and enjoy your Tuscan holiday! ♥️🌞🌹🥰
Great video guys, we've just returned from a stunning road trip through France, taking in the Dordogne, including all the places you show, it's so nice to see them through your experienced eyes now, many thanks for this wonderful vlog

@@TiTiSuwardhi oh wow! I’m so sorry I couldn’t be on touch but we just decided that day, that we would travel home that way! No time to organise anything but it was beautiful 🥰♥️🤗🌹
@@TiTiSuwardhi we just passed through on the way home to Chianni and we’re only there about an hour having afternoon coffee before returning home! ♥️🥰🌹

Ciao Marisa and David; new trip, new adventure. Hope you, Marisa, will jump soon again like a gazelle 🙏. Since your last video I felt in love with your new baby, the Piaggio Ape ❤; will see you soon riding the beast ☺. Bacci ed abracci (like always), Sabine🇦🇹
Ciao Sabine! You’re always so sweet and we love reading your comments! It’s funny as David also calls me a gazelle and says I’ll soon be jumping again! 😍 I miss my baby BeeBee and can’t wait to learn to drive her when I get back. It’s going to be fun. Thank you so much for joining us again. Bacione a te! ♥️🥰🌹🤗💋
It’s a wonderful place Peter but yes… lots of steps everywhere you go! Not easy for some of us. You’re so welcome and thank you so much for watching! 🥰♥️🤗
Grazie mille Patrizia! Siamo felicissima di vivere in provincia di Pisa e potere scoprire tutti questi bellissimi luoghi… quanto è bella la Toscana! Grazie di cuore ♥️🥰🌹🤗
Thank you! Such a beautiful video, I have an image of the Ponte del Diavolo on my website for so many years, it's constriction attributed to Matilda, the countess of Canossa, it is recorded she was an amazing lady, her deep friendship and possible love story with pope Gregory always fascinates me. Happy home coming to Chianni! ❤
Thank you so much AnoukSophia! That’s so lovely of you to share that story. How beautiful. We are still travelling for now but will be home soon! Sending hugs 🥰♥️🤗🌹
Great filming... you make me feel like I am walking with you. Your close up shots and longer distance vistas are as equally well done. Amazing that you can do such a great job on crutches.
Oh thank you so much 🙏🏼 it’s a bit challenging at times but I’ve been managing quite well. Hopefully it won’t be for too much longer and I’m walking far better now. Thank you for your lovely comments and we hope to see you again soon. 🥰♥️🤗🌹
Yes we were so lucky with the light that day! Unfortunately there was no time to arrange meetings as we didn’t know we would make it there that day. It was a last minute decision, otherwise we would have happily met up for sure! Thank you for watching 🥰🩵🙏🏼🤗
Ciao Marisa and David, just breathtaking and magical, these little villages, carry so much old-world charm and history, the views are so stunning, everyone better than the previous one. Thank you so much for such a wonderful day out. Amore da N.Y.
Ciao Joni! We feel the same way as you. Each place just seems to bring new beauty and yes, the views were breathtaking indeed! We are so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching and we send you big hugs! 🥰♥️🤗💐💋
@@thomasfarley6052 oh what a shame Thomas! Thank you so much for joining us all the same and David says hello! 👋 it’s a lovely river indeed! Gorgeous clear waters … quite chilly I imagine! 🥰♥️🤗
Following our lovely journey through the Lunigiana, we ventured south via the Alpi Apuane, which were magnificent, onto lovely Barga and Bagni di Lucca. Just a day trip on our way home to Chianni, so not a long vlog but we hope you enjoy it! 🥰🤗😘
Oh Marisa and David - this is just gorgeous! Thank you for the tour of the villages. So lovely to see the countryside and village lanes as well when you were out walking Maisie, Stanley and Rafe. I look forward to part 2. Enjoy!
