I moved my plants out to my front porch last month. It’s pretty humid here in the summer in NC so i think all the plants enjoy that and get to grow a little more! Though, a couple days ago i noticed that ants have invaded my dieffenbachia… i really don’t know what to do about it. Ive had this plant for about 8 years now. The last 4 years i have lived in a house and taken it outside in the summer. This is the first time ants have invaded any of my plants. I didnt even notice until i went to water it and then suddenly ants were swarming all over the top of the soil and the pot and i could see they were carrying larvae! I put a liquid ant bait out because i had some that ive used before when we have ants coming inside like once a year. The liquid/gel stuff works so well and the ants usually swarm to it. But idk what happened and they quite literally didn’t take the bait… so hopefully i can get these ants moved out by the time i have to bring the plant back inside in a few months. Also, speaking of plants that are getting too big. That same dieffenbachia grows really tall, especially now that i bring it outside for the summer. Two years ago i did the air layering propagation and that worked really well. Its already too tall again so i need to do it again this year. Im not really looking forward to it though because its sorta stressful.
I brought a little kalanchoe cutting home from vacation, one stem it in water and 3 little leaves in potting soil. The stem sprouted roots, but very tiny black bugs showed up at the top of the stem. Never had them before. I wonder if they came from the potting soil the leaves were in, any ideas anyone? Never seems bugs like this before in any of my indoor olants
You really should build raised beds along that fence then plant wildflowers. Then the boys need their own bed to plant in. Fyi tomato plants are toxic for chickens you may want to create barrier between them.
I'm sure you know but just making sure, wisterias are toxic and can be dangerous to small children and dogs if any part of the plant is ingested. Love the patio and your succulent idea though
What I got from this video is how much I want a little house, with a nice patio and a yard 😭 I really enjoy watching you make your space cozy and beautiful ❤️
Your boys are so freaking cute!!! Kai telling Rei to quit walking on your flowers was so most adorable. Your deck looks awesome with those plants.😊 Your videos make my day💚
Love the flowers. Boys are so big now. Porch looks so homey now. Im kooking at my plants to try and rearrange. I need tje more flowy look and bit cluttered.
Love your videos! And your chickens are adorable. Just an FYI, Tomato plants are a member of the nightshade family making them leaves and stems toxic to chickens. So I’d move the tomato plant or put a board between the cage and plant
Fortunately chickens are pretty good at knowing what they shouldn’t eat! I’ve just been keeping a close watch on the plant for nibbles. There’s also two layers of fence there 😁
Harli G, i’m loving the wisteria start, and you putting the bark on there and then putting those little bitty plants on there, oh my goodness it’s so beautiful the whole deck is beautiful. I wish I had that kind of space to put my plants.
My decision on what to bring outside all had to do with which plants I want to grow bigger. If they're already big/full, I left them inside. I'm running out of room, too!
Soothie sounds awesome! Girl you need to get yourself some no sugar added peanut butter! Also, sad that many of the benefits within mushrooms such as chaga are not water soluble so drinking them in a liquidy drink actually gets rid of the great benefits. Eathing the mushroom itself or in pill form is the best way to go :)
No. It wasn’t. Sorry bro. I feel like it was 7/10 angelic. Love to you though. The video was amazing. Just work on the ending a little more and you’ve truly got this.
