IT'S MOVING DAY!!! Officially time to begin my señora era ✨as we know, moving is hectic and it's HARD, but I'm excited to continue to share this journey with ya'll! Just know, today's vlog is full of moments of chaos hahaha I hope you enjoy, comment below your favorite part. 🤪 Hey friends ☁🫶🏽 I created a “first home” housewarming wishlist (some of you requested it) so here it is: www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/K81Q0PI9OX45 Please don’t feel any pressure, I don’t expect anything! Your comments & support are more than enough. But since I don’t have a P.O. Box, I thought I’d share this instead 💗
I too bought a new home a year ago, here are some additional things to consider: Pest control: Schedule pest control services, as new construction can sometimes attract pests. Mail forwarding: Update your address with the post office and set up mail forwarding to receive your mail at your new home. Connect with your new neighbors: I have my immediate neighbor's phone numbers and I text them to remind them that they have left their garage door opened, that their dog ran out...things like that. They will repay the favor and it's good also when you hear odd noises in your neighborhood. Maintenance schedule: Create a maintenance schedule for your new home, including regular tasks like HVAC filter changes and gutter cleaning. Home warranty: If your new home comes with a warranty, review the terms and make sure you understand what is covered. Emergency kit: Assemble an emergency kit with essential supplies, including first-aid items, flashlights, batteries, and non-perishable food. Home improvement projects: Don't wait too long to get small things repaired because they can quickly get out of hand. If you find any small gaps on the outside of your home, use some caulking or close them before critters nest there or water seeps in. Small things can prevent huge problems! Safety measures: Install or confirm the presence of smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers. MOST IMPORTANT: Find out what urgent care clinics or hospitals work with your insurance and keep that information both in your phone but also somewhere people may know in case of emergency. This is super helpful, you don't want to be in the middle of crisis doing research which things are covered by your insurance. Best of luck!
You’re mom is so supportive I love seeing her in all the vlogs. She’s so proud of you! Being an adult is expensive, why don’t you look into couponing. I coupon household items not food, saves me so much money and I love giving away stuff from my stock pile too. I see you David in the Colombian Jersey!
the editing, the vibes, THE HOUSE??? everything is so immaculate. you have such a beautiful house girlie and i cannot wait to see how much more you turn it into a home! so much props to you for moving along with these moving vlogs bc WHEWWW - it takes so much work. congratulations again! moving in is so tiring and stressful but so rewarding. 🏡
Love that you blurred out your area . Safety and privacy is so important, a lot of vloggers forget to even think about that. So happy for you girlie ❤. Many blessings to you in your “Casita era”!! 🎉
I love the fact that you show the non so pleasing things of house owning like all the things you have to fix on your own or figure out how to do something. Social media oftentimes gives me the impression that everything is picture perfect. It's so nice and refreshing to have somebody show me the reality. Thank you!
There's no team building exercise like moving a dresser with your family!!! So exciting to see it all come together, just in time for the rainy, cozy season! 🌧🍵
Thanks for keeping it real because it is a lot having a home. I think people calculate the mortgage and utilities but it's so much more money and energy maintaining the house.
Congratulations Selena!!! You totally deserve this..the burp though🤣... Love your new home, we are officially on the same side of the United States!! Here's to many happy memories to come! 🍾🥂
Congratulations!!! You guys are going to build such a beautiful life there together ❤ whoever thought to bring the dresser around to the back yard and fewer stairs is a genius! Slow, gradual moves are so much better than trying to get it all done in a single day. Buuuut you do actually have to finish the job lol. I moved back out of my parents house in May and still have a few boxes there…maybe by Christmas I’ll finally move them over to my new place 😅 Anyway, so excited to see how you set up the new house and make it your home! Congrats again!
Love your new house! We moved from DC in 2021 to CO& now live in Japan. I hope you find living outside of DC more relaxing like we have. What time do you usually have tea? I'm in need of a new routine!
I am enjoying your videos so much. I just bought a place also, your videos make me so excited to move and just in time for cozy season🤍🍵 Congrats on your new home!
We are also from Oregon and currently living in Arizona. Your videos definitely encourage us to come back we miss Oregon so much. We love your channel!! ☺️
I honestly missed oregon so much too the last couple of years and so far I'm glad I moved back! it's extra special now that I have my bf with me here, too 🥹 thank you so much for your support!! ♥
love seeing the house come together selena! still can't get over the amazing lighting and warmth the house gives off too 😍 (we both know we need all the natural lightening and windows we can get here in oregon!) i love me some KBBQ too! unfortunately everything we have here in the portland area doesn't compare to LA, but k-town and kkoki are really the only two spots for AYCE. also, if you haven't checked them out yet and love a pizza/asian fusion - check out hapa pizza in downtown beaverton! (they're usually at the beaverton farmers market on the weekends, but i think they now have a brick and mortar closeby tan tan restaurant - which is also solid for vietnamese food 😊) God bless always beautiful!
Yayyy Congrats for 70k subbies Sel!!🎉 I love seeing you and your mom together, you both are so cute❤ One question, I'm currently unemployed I believe we spoke about this on one of your pass videos (anywho😂) I'm thinking of starting a YT channel in the meanwhile, do you have any advice as to what type of videos I can do/start? (no pranks)
The house is so beautiful congrats girl😍 I notice you keep saying “my” house, is David going to buy his own house or will this house eventually become “our” house if he doesn’t buy? Would you guys then split everything?
I didn’t end up bringing it! It didn’t make sense since we don’t have an SUV or truck so we’d have to borrow someone’s truck to take it back to my moms house and decided not to do all that.
