Moving Out of State for College: My Advice, My Experience, & How I Did It // As most of you know by now, I moved over 3,000 miles away from my hometown to attend the university of my dreams when I was 18. Five years later... and I'm still here! I've gotten quite a few questions asking how I did it, as well as friends reaching out to tell me they are thinking of doing the same thing. So here are my pieces of advice, how my experience went/how I did it, and what I would do differently if I had to do it again!
In this video, I'll cover everything from feeling supported (or not), the importance of visiting ahead of time, living arrangement options, transportation options, how to get yourself and your belongings there, becoming an in-state resident if you choose, ways to save money, dealing with homesickness, and making friends/getting involved on campus!
