Thank you for all the info! I would like to know how diverse the student body is? I'm from south Florida and diversity is a huge factor for me in applying out of state!

You're very welcome! The student body is extremely diverse in background and also in hometowns/ home states! We have multiple Floridians in our class actually! It should definitely be on your list of options!

I am only a sophomore in high school, but I have truly been considering dentistry for my future career path. For the past eight months, the majority of my online activity has included "dental school vlogs" and surgeries, like implants and root canals. However, to an actual dental student, I have been wanting to ask if getting an associate's degree from a two-year college (as long as I meet all the prerequisites) is a good idea versus four years of undergrad? I want to spend the least amount of time in school as I can. I want to enjoy my twenties! I would really appreciate your input :) **also, I live right here in TN, too! That's what drew me to your video!

Thanks so much for the comment!! You can get into dental school whether you go for 2 or 4 years! I will say they like to see a 4 year degree because it helps them see your longevity and it helps them see how you can grow and progress over four years of school. It also gives them more of an idea how you handle a four year major. Bottom line, however, if you go to a 2 year program and get all A’s and then you get a 23-24 on the DAT you will get into dental school!! I understand wanting to save time for sure! I’m 24 and not even finished with my first year of dental school yet but sometimes delaying the gratification of working in your profession can actually be a good thing. It gives you time to grow and find out about yourself and your life. Thanks so much for the comment and best of luck with your entire process in this great state of Tennessee!!!
