Hi, I had an awful experience with an estate agent and had similar feelings about being young and women. However, they didn't realise my brother was a property solicitor and he had to sort out their mess out and put them in their place. I would recommend contacting the ombudsman about your experience, their professionalism and raise a formal complaint so it doesn’t happen to other people. I'm glad you found a new place and didn't give them your business 😍
I feel that watching this video has taught me that even when you think you may be ready the world has other plans, almost like it its way of telling us to slow down and wait until we truly know what we want. im so happy for you both, you deserve it so much and im so happy you are both where you love!!! Massive congratulations!! Well done!
Can see you both radiating happiness at the end❤️ worth the heartbreak ladies, you’ve learnt to trust yourselves and your gut, learnt to trust in the stars - truly believe things happen for a reason and they’ll all align when it’s the right time x
I am a legal secretary and this doesn't surprise me at all! Estate Agents (from my experience) are quite rude, they get far too involved which causes mix ups and frustration between clients etc. I have found they push and push and push and are in it for their commission! So pleased you are both happy with your new flats!xx
Ah god I nearly cried watching this!! As a girl at a similar age to you this was such a helpful and enlightening video!! I’m so happy for you both and loved hearing about the note stories. Good luck in your new homes!xx
I completely agree with the estate agent vibe. They’re all rude and arrogant. Sales people really which says it all. We have just moved into our first home and honestly it took 14 months from when we put the offer in! So glad you’ve found somewhere ♥️ everything happens for a reason! Xxx
Omg I am so sad to hear you have had a bad experience with estate agents as I am one myself, I promise we are all not as horrible as the ones you mentioned! I work and live in the same area as you girls so I can agree that some agents are TRASH around here😂 I’m glad you girls found your dream apartments finally🖤🤍
When it comes to buying a house, never settle! My husband & I almost did it because we found a lovely home and were eager to move out of the property we were in at the time (we were going from private rental to buying). The estate agent was awful and kept messing us around with the price and trying to make us sweat / pay more because she could see we were eager. In the time she spent blowing us off, my MIL found a stunning home in a much more convenient place, more modern and we wouldn’t have had to change a thing before moving in. We ended up going for the house my MIL found for us, and the arrogant estate agent lost a sale for her clients and her commission. Not long after we noticed the for sale sign outside the house was then for a different company!! I’m assuming the sellers were not happy she was haggling on their behalf for her own greed (commission) and lost the sale. The estate agent we dealt with for the home we actually bought knows the lady who messed us around for the 1st home, she said she often gets comments about her arrogance and how she’s hard to work with. Being an estate agent you have to have hustle I guess, but arrogance is a NO NO! The agent who sold us the house we are in now still messages me 3yrs down the line checking in on how we are doing and asking if we have been doing any home projects! Long story, but I wanted to share my story to echo what Syd & Ell are saying. Definitely don’t settle for a home you don’t absolutely love, or an estate agent who’s a nightmare to deal with!
This is a mood! I bought my house at 21 and the first company I went too for mortgage advice with this company they treated me so awful and wouldn’t take me serious🙄
You girls have been through hell and back!!! So happy you’ve both found places and all the drama is over☺️congrats to both of you🥰I do love a Syd and Ell story time xxxx
Thank you so much for sharing girls! I’m hoping to move out in a year or two and this has been such an eye opener that not everything goes as smoothly as people let on. Very happy for you both 😊💕
Your story is so similar to my own house buying experience. I reserved a new house November 2019 and only just moved in 2 weeks ago. Such a hard journey but I feel it was so worth it for me of how it turned out. Such a hard 14months tho x
I work at an estate agents one just purely Hertfordshire based sooty k ow where to come next time :) you also came to my family’s boxing show when Cas was fighting in December so thank you!!! 💖💖
I’m so glad that you finally got your apartments in the same block and that you are happy I can’t wait to see syds apartment and I can’t wait for more moving content love you both so much xx 💕💕💕
Yayyy been waiting for this!! Glad to see Ells got her apartment and Syd moves in very soon! Cannot wait for al home content and seeing this next chapter in your life💖💖💖
woah, this literally gave me goosebumps!! You girls have been through so much with moving, you both deserve to be happy in your new homes! So proud of you both. Also what a babe georgia is, she sounds amazing!! 💖💖💖💖💖
I’m 21 and I bought a new build flat in October and it was ag but completely agree with the estate agent comments one woman made me feel like a CHILD she’d say how ‘lucky’ I am to get a flat, hun it’s not luck it’s my saving and hard work!! She’d also say ‘you’re so young, do you want to check with your parents first’...🥴🙄
Loved this thanks girls! I’m 21 and I have been saving to move out since I got my first job obviously I bought a car along the way but try my hardest to get that deposit money! seeing your story was very helpful because I didn’t realise how hard it could be. I did used to be a estate agent but I mainly did lettings and obviously I wasn’t an arsehole but I know the preconception that job carries and I have seen a fair few bad ones in my time xxx So so glad it’s all worked out for you though! Xx
Honestly you’ve gotta believe that everything happens for a reason and you’re meant to be where you are today, congratulations it’s all finally worked out for you both.. here’s to a new chapter🥰 To anyone else reading this, happy hump day😇 Half way through the week, and if you’re anything like me it’s WINE WEDNESDAY😂 I hope everyone is well, stay safe and remember to keep smiling! Lots of love, a small time RU-vidr trying to spread positivity❤️❤️
me and my best friend want to be like you when we are older we always talk about you and we especially love the old spain vlogs. we have also been waiting for this story time to come out. so glad you guys are happy! can't wait for more videos to come >3 love you keep doing what you're doing! :)
Congratulations girls and thank you so much for this video! As someone hoping to buy soon, this has been so helpful! Ps Ell that makeup is so bridal 😍 loved it xxx
Love this story, so excitingggggggg. The hard journey makes it all the better in the end, I used to be an Estate Agent in Clapham, it’s a stressful game for all involved for REAL. PS Ell your eyes are so lush and blue 😍
Loved this video! Thank you for sharing🤗 Would love if you could touch upon the "boring" stuff so to say e.g to process of getting a mortgage etc no one actually tells you about that! X
Loved this! We’re just in the process of buying our first house and before hand we had so many disappointing moments when it falls through! Also agree with the estate agent thing, I’ve only met one nice one so far 🙄😂😂
This sounds horrendous! Moving house is stressful enough! I’ve just bought my own house. Although I had lovely solicitors and mortgage advisor. If you fancy a nose I have a few moving vlogs and full house tour coming Friday!! 😀
hearing your story makes my process seem breezy but at the time it was horrible! And I completely agree with the “stereotypical” estate agent... looking at upsizing and buying my second home but jeez I’m not ready to go through it all again!!! And deal with estate agents again 😂😂🙄 BIG love to you both though, congrats xx
