Still images and video of the disassembly of the P-51H Mustang at the Chanute Air Museum, Rantoul, Illinois, and reassembly at the Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, in September-October 2015. Congratulations to the Museum of Aviation restoration team for their excellent work disassembling and reassembling the aircraft! And a big thanks to our friends at Chanute for their beautiful restoration work and their great support with the move.

I remember when the tail broke off of the B-36 at Chanute 1986 while in sheetmetal school. Now working at Robins AFB 2018.

What I wouldn't do to have that sitting in my side driveway on the trailer just for bragging rights.

If they do like they do with the rest, they just park it out in the weather and it rots. What a waste. If they do put it inside their hanger it is still a waste. at least here in Colorado out plane are flown.

Black Knight the plane I believe still belongs to the airforce so it won’t ever be flown
